Mindful

Lord may I always be more mindful, of the things of God,
For who else loves me so, and guards this way I trod,
Remind me that I am a spiritual being, and don't need the things of men,
Because everything that's human, leads one toward a life of sin,
And to be carnally minded is death, God's Word makes this so clear,
But to be spiritually minded is life and peace, things that I hold dear,
And it personally has taken a long time, for me to get this straight,
For I gave in too easily, when the devil dangled his bait,
But You Lord have given me the guidance, so I know how to act,
And I have the assurance in You, that my eternity is intact,
So I will reach for the goal, that You have set for me,
And I will live my life, so everyone knows what I believe.
