Word Fruit

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruit,
There are many times as I look back, I should have put my voice on mute,
For I have spoken words, before I put my brain in gear,
And afterwards I realize, what I said I wouldn't even want to hear,
I have seen the pain, and just something said was the only cause,
So I pray in any situation, before I speak I would take pause,
I do not want to say anything, to cause one's anger to rise,
Especially I should not speak, all the gossip and the lies,
For Your love Lord is the main thing, I should be expressing,
And I should not speak a curse, but I should be sharing a blessing,
May I think of You Lord, before anything I do or say,
So that it will be evident to others, that I am walking in God's Way.
