Not Going Back There

Search my heart oh Lord, and see it belongs only to You,
And remove all of the trash within it, that might keep me from being true,
For life here in this world, constantly sends temptations my way,
Fill me with Your strength and courage, Lord is what I pray,
For on my own I might make decisions, that are not always right,
But Lord I can stay on the straight and narrow, if I’m guided by Your light,
To walk on the path of righteousness, is where I ever want to be,
From all the distractions of my past, Lord You have set me free,
Yet the devil is always after me, and keeps throwing that old stuff in my face,
But Lord You have saved me from all that, and have taken me to a new place,
Now all my worship and my praise, to only You is due,
And I have peace within my soul, because my heart belongs to You.
