A Convenient Christianity

Do we practice a convenient Christianity, calling to God when we're in need?
Are we steered by the ill winds of this life, always controlled by greed?
Are we an easy prey for the devil, just thinking the Bible's a good book?
I think that you're not reading it, give it another look,
For it can take you to a place, where you have never been,
And you can read about someone, who can save you from your sins,
There is a revelation in it, that will speak just to you,
That can guide you into eternity, and can make you someone brand new,
The author of salvation, is knocking at your heart's door,
So open the door and accept him, you will find so much more,
Just humble yourself before Jesus, and for forgiveness pray,
And then it will be convenient, to live for God everyday.

He Loved Enough

Look into my heart, so you can see into my soul,
Know that I run hot, and very seldom do I run cold,
For life has become too precious, for me to waste the rest of it in sin,
Cause the giver of life, Jesus, has saved me, now I'm living life for Him,
And I will let Him have control, to guide me in the Way,
Without ceasing I will talk to Him, to only Him I pray,
For He is the very one, who has possession of eternity,
Yet He loved enough, to die if just for me,
The ultimate sacrifice, that I can never ever repay,
And on top of that, in His presence I'll dwell eternally one day,
But today He shows me mercy and grace, not what I deserve,
And for this I will worship and praise Him, and He alone I'll serve.

In My Heart

I always think of You Lord, You are constantly on my mind,
And I love searching in Your Word, to see what riches I will find,
To read about the life of Jesus, of these stories I never tire,
Especially the ones about His miracles, they set my soul on fire,
To know that that same power, is available to me,
And to know it is that power, that can set a lost soul free,
Yet for a soul to be set free, there is only one way,
And God provided that way, when Jesus hung on a cross one day,
He hung on that old rugged cross, to save us from our sins,
And when He saved us from our sins, new life was found in Him,
In this new life we will be sanctified, forever set apart,
That's why Jesus is ever on my mind, and why He's always in my heart.

Never Thirst

The well of living water is eternal, it will never be depleted,
Through the source of living water, my way to eternity is completed,
For Jesus is the source, He is God's only Son,
Salvation is through Him, not in anything I've done,
And now what can I do, other than serve my Savior only?
To become everything He wants, all that He would have me be,
Living a life that honors Him, in everything I do,
Never forgetting that every morning, His mercies are brand new,
Life truly is worth living, when Jesus is my guide,
I am totally secure in my faith, when he walks by my side,
My heart is so filled with His love, I'm surprised it hasn't burst,
And I'll continue drinking His living water, so my soul will never thirst.

Truly Miraculous

God’s arm has not grown short, nor has His vision dimmed,
So there is no reason for me, not to still expect miracles from Him,
For Jesus said that what He did, we can expect to be doing more,
That is why I anxiously await, more blessings to be outpoured,
Healing School is not just about being healed, but to also learn more about healing,
So I can show others that God promises, are more than just warm fuzzy feelings,
For God wants us to know everything we can, to prove His love is real,
And not to wonder aimlessly, but be right in the middle of His will,
So we can be fed daily from His Word, so that we will grow and grow and grow,
And when God calls us to action, we can go and go and go,
Lord we want the blind to see, the deaf to hear, when we speak Your healing talk,
And also to tell the lame, stand up, take up your bed, and walk,
But the greatest healing Lord, is when you save a sinner’s heart,
Let us in this glorious miracle, perform whatever is our part,
For we want to do everything, that You want us to say and do,
And we pray all of the glory, honor, and praise, Lord always go to You.

Share and Care

Righteousness is easy, when we're laid up under a blanket of worship,
And while feasting on the Word, we usually don't slip,
But when we get out of the sanctuary, do we act the same?
Can people feel God's love flowing from us, do we share it in Jesus' name?
Do we do everything we can, to save them from a sinner's hell?
For if we are a Christian, we have a wonderful gospel story to tell,
And according to the Bible, it is our obligation to share,
For if we really are full of God's love, we will show how much we care,
Reading God's Word and praying, is the way to start the day,
Diligently seeking God's will, so we are always walking in the Way,
For now is the time to become, what God would have us be,
But it still sure is great, to worship in the sanctuary.

Clinging to My Salvation

May I live my life, showing the courage of my convictions,
Let me run well Lord, the race You would have me run,
As I face the future, I am glad it is in Your hands,
Especially when I think of Heaven, oh it will be so grand,
May my faith be as evident, as the nose on my face,
So that everyone that I'm around, will know my purpose in this place,
Cause I'm only on this earth a short time, I'm only passing through,
And I pray you know my Savior, He is reaching out to you,
For as God wants none to perish, Lord neither do I,
See God wants all to be saved, that's why He sent Jesus to die,
Yet I wasted too much of my life, chasing after sinful things,
But now it is to my salvation, that I will ever cling.

Encouraged

Do we encourage Satan, by the way we live our lives?
Do we create an atmosphere, which will allow him to thrive?
For the devil only needs a crack, and he can enter in,
And when he wins the thought process, that is when we sin,
For there's nothing Satan likes better, than for a Christian to fall,
So that we will feel so guilty, that we won't answer when God calls,
But we just need to remember, that God is stronger still,
Than anything Satan can throw at us, are our eyes on Calvary's hill?
We need to let what we believe guide us, so that our faith will grow,
So there won't be any doubt, and God's will we surely know,
For Satan is easily defeated, when we call on Jesus' name,
Our salvation is in Him, and our lives will never be the same.

The Slow Life

I am trying to adjust my life, so I can live it slowly,
For I'm sure I've missed some wonderful things, that I've passed too fast to see,
Cause it seems I'm always in high gear, a workaholic fellow,
But I want to shift it down to low, so I can be more mellow,
To stop and smell the roses, and just watch a butterfly,
And to find those things within my world, that will make me say oh my,
To visit with family and old friends, and take time to reminisce,
And never rush off without giving, the grandbabies a hug and a kiss,
I'll guess I'll drive the speed limit, and let everybody pass,
Cause if I'm not in a hurry, I won't burn near as much gas,
I'm not too old to experience, those moments that take my breath away,
So I really am going to slow down, and just live life day by day.

I Love

I love to walk barefooted, on a fresh cut lawn,
I love to wake a little early, so I can watch a brand new dawn,
I love to hear a baby's giggle, so innocent and pure,
I love to see a great big bass, when it hits my lure,
I love to watch the moon and stars, on a clear cool night,
I love sitting on a beach, the waves are such a peaceful sight,
I love going to a ballpark, watching my team win,
I love relaxing with my memories, remembering where my life has been,
I love talking with my friends, catching up on things,
I love sitting in a church, and hearing all the songs they sing,
I love living in this great country, and knowing I am free,
But I especially love God, and all He's done for me.

I Understand It Better Now

I stood and watched the moon one night, it seemed to hang there in midair,
And my very first thought, was my God hung it there,
The sun rose early one morning, it came out of the east,
And I was amazed that my God, filled my eyes with this mental feast,
If I could count the sand or stars, a genius I would be,
And the number of hairs on my head, only God can answer me,
What a wonderful kaleidoscope, in the fall with all the trees,
And could that be my God breathing, when I feel a breeze?
There are a lot of things about this world, that I don't know about,
But there is surely one thing, of which there is no doubt,
That is my salvation, when believing set me free,
And I understand it fully, it is God's greatest gift to me.

To Exalt You

I exalt You always Lord, for You alone are ever worthy,
You've raised the dead, healed the sick, and caused the blind to see,
I can't say thank you at all enough, for all that You have done,
For if it wasn't for You, my victory would not have been won
You carried me a long time, when I didn't live like You existed,
Probably when You knocked on my heart's door, I might even have resisted,
But You kept on knocking Lord, and my heart finally answered,
And I have found the truth, by reading in Your Word,
For years I ran with the wrong crowd, they helped Satan to deceive,
But now I run with a group, that only in You believe,
And we study and pray together, so we will be sanctified and true,
Now we know that You are worthy, that is why we exalt You.

His Final Call

I know it's never easy, when we have to say goodbye,
For when a loved one passes, seems we just want to cry,
It seems living day to day, takes a super human effort,
For we know that during family time, we will be one hug short,
I pray that our God's perfect peace, will right now fill your heart,
And though it's hard to realize, His love never will depart,
For none of us knows when, we will answer God's final call,
But unless Jesus returns, He surely will call us all,
I hope you remember the good things, the good times in the past,
For I am sure in your mind's eye, those memories will last,
I also pray that all the hurting, of your loss will go away,
And that you will feel the very presence, of our loving God today.

He is Love

You won't find this in a dictionary, but believe me God is love,
And He rains it down upon us, as if He opened the heavens above,
For in a believer's life, faith, hope, and love abide,
But love is the greatest of these, and for this Jesus died,
The birth of our salvation, nailed Jesus to a cross,
And if we do not accept this, it will be a horrible loss,
But God's love has made a way, for all of us to be saved,
And the way that leads to Heaven, with God's love it is paved,
We will never find a greater love, anywhere we look,
Today you can read love's story, in the Bible, God's holy book,
Its words describing this love, like a mighty river flows,
I pray that you can find this love, the greatest you'll ever know.

Today I Honor Him

Today I choose to honor God, to do His will today,
That others may see Him in me, in all I do and say,
For there is no other like Him, and there will never be,
None other has His power, only He can set the captive sinner free,
He sent His only Son, the ultimate sacrifice for sin,
I pray this is not wasted, that all will believe in Him,
Just as Jesus touched so many lives, I pray that I can too,
For there is nothing like the miracle, of seeing Him make a heart brand new,
To know how much He really loves me, that He really does forgive,
Draws me closer to Him, and guides the way I live,
With eternity secure, safe in His arms I will ever stay,
For these many blessings, I choose to honor God today.

Still Many Souls

To stand in Your presence one day Lord, and hear You say well done,
Then I would know that victory over this day to day struggle, has finally been won,
And to not have to worry, about how long eternity will be,
If for a million years or more, my soul will still be free,
For You released me long ago, from the pits of sin’s terrible jail,
And now I know that I will never come close, to going to a sinner’s hell,
But I will walk the streets of gold, and praise my Savior, my King,
For Heaven will be a reality, in thanksgiving I will always sing,
And I look forward to that future, having forgotten all my past,
For I live in the security of a salvation, that I know will forever last,
But as long as I’m still here on this earth, Lord Your work still needs to be done,
For the fields are still white to harvest, and there are still many souls to be won.

Without Fear

My flesh is my worst enemy, I fight it all the time,
And I'm sure across the centuries, it's the cause of many crimes,
Now I don't know that I've done anything, that would put me into jail,
But I sure have done more than enough, to send my soul to hell,
And if not but for the grace of God, I know this would be true,
Yet I answered the call to His salvation, and my heart has been renewed,
I am living in the spiritual, so I am stronger than my flesh,
Now I am seeking out God's will, and I am truly blessed,
Temptation is still out there, I pray to avoid it every day,
And this is a whole lot easier to do, when one is walking in God's way,
Please be ever vigilant, the evil one is always near,
But being covered by the blood of Christ, I can live life without fear.

Take Control Lord

Lord may we deny ourselves, and let You have control,
For eternity is too long, for us to lose our souls,
We have free choice in our lives, for You gave us that right,
So I give my heart to You, and choose to be guided by Your light,
Sometimes our feelings and emotions, want to just run wild,
But Lord I seek to dwell in Your peace, to be known as Your child,
Give me more knowledge and wisdom, so I can recognize and do Your will,
And as the world falls apart around me, I will trust in You still,
Jesus died for my salvation, so I could live forever with You,
And I know that one day, Heaven and earth will be made brand new,
So into Your hands Lord, I give You my very being to hold,
For my burden is easy, and my yoke is light, when You are in control.

The Borrowed Grave is Empty

Lord You know I'm faithful, but not as faithful as You,
For sometimes I have my moments, but Your word is always true,
When I humbly come to You in repentance, You always forgive,
For this I try to reflect You, in the way I live,
You are my holy Father, and I will forever be Your child,
Instill Your loving spirit in me, so I always go the second mile,
By my words and deeds, may I show You to all others,
So we can become Your family, believers who are sisters and brothers,
Let us preach Jesus by our living, everywhere we go,
So they can find Your forgiveness, so that they will know,
That death could not hold my Savior, in a borrowed grave,
He arose just like it was prophesized, and only He can save,

Cream of God's Crop

As You planted a seed in me Lord, may I also plant Your seeds,
And by my believing in You, I know You will kill all of the weeds,
May my heart honor You forever, for my faith in You is real,
My salvation is in Jesus, by His stripes I know You heal,
My healing was paid for completely, over two thousand years ago,
I learn about this reading Your Word, but there's more I need to know,
Please don't block the blessing, that God has for you,
Just accept what He has already given, this is all you have to do,
In all areas of your life, God has great riches He wants to share,
Though we search throughout our lifetimes, we'll never know how much He cares,
As we follow Lord Your leading, we know Your blessings will never stop,
And we know without a doubt, that we are Father God's cream of the crop.

God Gives Peace

Sometimes a twist in life, will almost turn my heart to stone,
Be it a sudden illness, or a loved one who is gone,
And I wonder why it happened, especially to me,
Any hope for a good future, is really hard to see,
I want to question God, to try to find the cause,
Then I remember God is good, and this causes me to pause,
And realize Satan is the evil one, he wants to draw us toward the night,
He wants us to live in misery, and not walk in God's amazing light,
God only wants good things for us, in Him we can find healing,
In His Word and in our praying, we find the Way He is revealing,
For His truth is our hope, also His promises never cease,
Because of this my heart is blessed, and filled with His eternal peace.

God's Garden

I walk through this garden called earth Lord, and see Your handiwork everywhere,
And in the glory of its beauty, I realize how much You care,
For who else has the power, to bring such grandeur into being?
And I know that it is so much more, than this small part I am seeing,
I am sure this is just a little preview, of what it's like in Heaven above,
As I look all around me Lord, I can see Your touch of love,
In the diligence of Your creation, I can feel how much more You care for me,
And how could I not praise You, when You fill my heart with glee?
I too Lord am of Your making, and You have made my heart brand new,
For me this was one of the greatest things, that You could ever do,
Jesus died for my salvation, paid a price far more than I am worth,
I will never forget this Lord, as I walk through life in this garden we call earth.

As in Heaven

On earth as in Heaven, the standard we must raise high, and diligently pursue,
We know by believing You Lord, the works You do, greater works we will do,
May our days upon this earth, be like the days of Heaven above,
For we know that this is possible, because of Your great love,
By the coming of Your Son Jesus, how can we separate the two,
For all of earth, Heaven, and beyond, it all belongs to You,
May I seek Your will when talking to You, that is every time I pray,
You are the God of our creation, control all my steps each day,
As Jesus went about this earth, teaching, preaching, and healing all sickness,
May I too go out within my world, and share this Heavenly bliss,
For Jesus pulled me from the darkest pit, and saved me from my sin,
So I will continue to believe God's will here on earth, as is it is in Heaven.

Little Bit of Heaven

In everything I do Lord, may I always put You first,
And when it comes to drinking Your living water, may I always thirst,
Your Word is food for life, may I always hungry be,
May the nutrition of living life in You, grow me into what You have for me,
I know that if I lived my life without You, I may as well be dead,
But as I live my life with You, the future I don’t have to dread,
Because Lord I want my entire life, to revolve just around You,
I seek You with my whole heart, and Your will I always want to do,
To be complete and more like You Lord, is my daily prayer,
For I know You won’t burden me, with more than I can bear,

, is something I don’t plan to miss,

Whisper Holy

To head out to church, on a beautiful Sunday morn,
Makes me truly thankful, that my soul has been reborn,
For I can truly worship, because I have been set free,
And it is the Holy Spirit, that now dwells inside of me,
He guides me, and I want to learn all that He will teach,
Now I get so much more out of it, when I hear the pastor preach,
It is all about learning, about knowing what to do,
And it really is a school room, sitting in the pew,
For God wants us to have wisdom, to know all His Word has to say,
For it is a map for our lives, how we need to walk each day,
It is also the greatest love story, that has ever been told,
And just the reading of it, brings peace to my soul,
To gather in the sanctuary, with a bunch of other believers,
Knowing that because of God’s grace and mercy, we also are receivers,
There is no other place, that I would rather be,
It moves me to my knees, where all I can whisper is holy.

My Hope

If I were to lose everything, hope would be the last to go,
For my hope is in my Savior, and everything He knows,
Through all my trials and tribulations, He has been with me this far,
He is able and He's willing, I know He hung the moon and stars,
My faith in Him sustains me, helps me through another day,
And I know He hears and answers, each and every time I pray,
Why should I worry about tomorrow, when I know that He is near?
And when I make any decision, it is His voice I long to hear,
For on the sea of life, living for Him is smooth sailing,
I trust in all His promises, they are never failing,
As long as I have breath, His praises I will sing,
And to the hope I have in Christ, I will always cling.

Nothing Compares

Lord nothing compares with the beauty, of a relationship with You,
Each day it just gets better, since You've made my heart brand new,
And I will never forget, all the things You've done for me,
Especially my salvation, when I was finally set free,
Living with the knowledge, that my eternity is set,
Lord just keep raining Your favor on me, until I am soaking wet,
For I will have none but You, guide my steps each day,
And I will seek none other's will for my life, when I pray,
May my lips only speak Your truth, and through me let Your light shine,
I know You are Savior to many, but I've made You personally mine,
Through death or by Your coming, seeing You will be a glorious sight,
For to worship in Your presence, will be every believer's delight.

Righteous Children

We needed a miracle, a moving of God’s awesome power,
Feeling His Spirit in our presence, we knew He was acting in that hour,
And we always pray believing, that God is going to do good things,
For our God is faithful toward us, and to Him we always cling,
There is no other God like our God, blessings He always bestows,
On us His righteous children, out of us rivers of living water flow,
We always reach out to others, to do what the Bible tells us to do,
For there is too much of God’s love just for us, we have to share it too,
We look to our God for direction, with each step we take,
Cause we want Him guiding us, in each decision that we make,
We believers hold each other accountable, to keep our relationship with God true,
So God will know our hearts really mean it, when we tell Him, I love You.

Baby Days

I was born at an early age, before I could even walk,
And I was making my parent's decisions, before I could even talk,
If I filled up my diaper, the smell could get real mean,
And I could never figure out, why my hinny needed to be powdered and clean,
Some of the food I was fed, well I would just spit it out,
And if I was unhappy, you would know it without a doubt,
Cause I thought you might just throw me out, when I began to cry,
But if you were telling friends about me, I was the apple of your eye,
And if someone had a camera, you would try hard to make me smile,
But that wasn't part of my nature, so I knew it would take a while,
I would rather hit the bottle, then a pacifier any day,
Still as small as I might be, I would always get my way,
Oh how I miss those baby days, when I did not have a care,
And every day was a fun day, with all the smells and noises I'd share,
But now as an adult, I surely would like to go back,
Just to see if you could burp me, or just have another panic attack.

Love Flows

Love flows through our hearts, and like the blood it helps us live,
Love helps us know life's more than taking, that you have to give,
For love has given us eternal life, if only we believe,
Salvation given through Jesus, the greatest gift one can receive,
And rejection or acceptance, is your key to eternity,
Also that answer determines, if one will be set free,
And though living in a free country, one can still be bound by sin,
But Jesus sets the captive free, total freedom is only found in Him,
And then within that freedom, the love will surely flow,
It will touch everyone you meet, everywhere you go,
Then miracles will occur, as numerous as raindrops in a springtime shower,
In awe then we will humbly bow, amazed at God's great power.

Love Blossomed

At the foot of the cross, love blossomed where the blood fell,
And salvation's plan was born, a way to Heaven and not to hell,
For God would have none perish, because He really loves us so,
But He does allow us to make the choice, the way we want to go,
I pray that all come to know Jesus, that they will believe,
Yet I know many will not, for they have been deceived,
And many after believing, will stray off of the Way,
They just don't grasp the reality, that we need to live it every day,
For a relationship with Jesus, is more than a Sunday and Wednesday night thing,
Worship, studying the Word, and praising, are just a few things we can bring,
To God's altar of our life, then we should go out and tell,
The story that love blossomed, where the saving blood fell.

A Beautiful Morning

The sun eased up this morning, its brightness I could almost hear,
And the chirping in the trees, sounded like the birds giving it a cheer,
The heat of the day started early, burning through my shirt,
Looking out over my garden, I see new plants pushing through the dirt,
I am thankful God has given me, another beautiful day,
I pray that as I live it, that I would seek His Way,
For life is way too short, to miss any of God's glory,
And I hope He will only see good things, as I live my life's story,
To only seek the spiritual, and to resist the flesh,
For I know that God really loves me, in this I'm truly blessed,
Because I know His salvation, and have forgiveness for my sins,
And I know I'll have another beautiful morning, either here or living with Him.

Too Wonderful

Oh to arise each morning, and pray Lord Your will be done,
So that the world sees You in me, true righteousness, God's Son,
For all of our sin's darkness flees, in Your glorious light,
And Lord within my life, I want it to shine bright,
When the tempter tries to deceive us, Lord You are stronger than him,
For who else has the power, to forgive all of our sins,
You give us the greatest love, that we have ever known,
And even though we walk through the valley, we know we're not alone,
Lord give us much more wisdom and knowledge, of what You would have us do,
For we don't want to do anything, unless we talk to you,
From the path You set before us, may we never stray,
For You make life much too wonderful, it gets more so every day.

Washed White

After a good day with Jesus, Satan sneaks up on me and attacks,
And the wall in my mind guarding against temptation, well it starts to crack,
I feel like I am fixing to give in, that I'm about to fall,
Then I remember I don't travel that road anymore, since I answered God's call,
That Jesus gives me strength, and makes my faith so strong,
And the thought of the cross at Calvary, keeps me from doing wrong,
At the name of Jesus, Satan runs rapidly away,
And I realize the temptation wasn't strong enough, to cause me to stray,
As Jesus has helped me win this battle, I'm drawn closer to Him,
And I don't want to hurt Him anymore, by committing another sin,
For Jesus washed my sins in His blood, washed them snowy white,
Now Satan can not touch me, as long as I walk in His light.

My King

Where I live we don’t have a king, but in my life I do,
He has many other titles, but I just call Him Savior too,
And I chose to let Him rule my life, and also seek His will,
I look to Him for all my needs, especially when I need to heal,
Spiritually, mentally, physically, and financially, are all areas where He helps me,
And He saved me from the bondage of sin, His love has set me free,
For He hung on a cruel rugged cross, to pay a price I cannot pay,
Now how could I not praise and worship Him, for what He did that day?
And how could I not show my gratitude, but by the life I live?
This is just a small thing to do, the least that I can give,
Even if it had just been me, He still would have came,
Into eternity I will follow my king, Jesus is His name.

God Reveals

Creation reveals Your power God, like nothing else ever will,
Calvary reveals Your love, a cross on a rugged hill,
Jesus reveals Your salvation, a beautiful eternal plan,
Your Word reveals You God, to every child, woman, and man,
The virgin birth reveals Jesus, a most precious gift to all,
You reveal Your will God, may we hear You when You call,
Jesus' life reveals Your miracles, spreading Your mercy and grace,
Our sanctuary reveals our praise and worship, it is a very special place,
Our pastor reveals Word knowledge, wisdom fills our ears,
Your presence reveals You care, an awesome feeling because You're near,

Waiting

What if we had to pay, for all the sins we've done?
What if there was no hope, and no victories had been won?
What if eternal life, would find us all in hell?
What if when it came to salvation, there was no story to tell?
What if Heaven was just a myth, and no one believed at all?
What if we were on our own, no one to catch us when we fall?
But I am one to tell you, there is hope and a reason for living,
Also we have a Savior, and we have been forgiven,
And with God there are always victories, He doesn't ever lose,
Yes there is a hell, but Heaven is waiting, I would call that good news,
Jesus, just the mention of His name, and He’ll help us again and again,
And He will never leave us, and He died for all our sins,
But when it comes to believing, the choice is yours to make,
And while you are making it, Heaven and hell are what's at stake,
Yes there is truly an eternity, faith in God insures you win,
And hell will be just like a myth, if you believe in Him.

Share His Message

We fall down and worship God, not worthy to look upon His face,
But He still loves us so, and invites us to His place,
Because He loves to hear our worship, and He loves to hear our praise,
And nothing could please Him more, than for us to do it all our days,
He has given us salvation, and He has given us healing,
Experiencing everything He gives, it is an awesome feeling,
He wants us to tune our hearts to His, so that we will know,
That special place to serve Him, where He wants us to go,
For He wants us to spread His Word, to shout it loud and clear,
So we can operate every day, without Satan causing us to fear,
For our faith is strong, so we need to do our part,
By sharing the message of our Savior, as His love flows from our hearts.

Taste His Glory

Oh how good it is to taste, the glory of the Lord,
To be able just to marvel, as His blessings are outpoured,
And though I have not seen Him, my faith grows everyday,
I always know He answers, whenever I may pray,
For I trust in Him completely, He knows my heart's desires,
And reading about Him in His Word, sets my soul on fire,
Humbly before Him I will seek, what He wants me to do,
And what He's doing in my life, He will do the same for you,
For He would have none to perish, this is not His will,
He wants all to believe in Him, then His plans for them will be revealed,
So now accept Him as your Lord, He'll make changes to your life's story,
For you too can know Him personally, then you too can taste His glory.

Running Into Eternity

As we run the race of life, I pray we will endure,
And that within the running, we become sanctified and pure,
For we are not running a sprint, but a marathon it seems,
If we need anything to finish, God will supply the means,
Cause God would not have us fall short, and never reach our goal,
That’s why He sent Jesus to this earth, so He could save our soul,
And there will be no straying, off the given track,
After we get started, there is no looking back,
For God wants us to be champions, to be the one who wins,
If this wasn’t what He wanted, there would have been no sacrifice for sins,
So run the race so you can become, all you are supposed to be,
We are believers in Jesus Christ, running into eternity.

Rejoicing in the Hope

I meditate on Your Word Lord, and Your peace fills my heart,
I pray that all the wisdom in it, to me You will impart,
For learning makes it easier, to walk within Your Way,
It helps me draw closer to You, each and every day,
And I rejoice in the hope, that I find in You,
I've departed from my old life, and look forward to the new,
Life that has a future, no turning to the past,
Looking ahead with the promise, of an eternity that lasts,
And the cross Lord that You died on, I always keep in my thoughts,
For it's where my sins were paid for, where they were blood-bought,
And I know You will bless my efforts, for my faith is real,
Because Your will for my life, is what I want to fulfill.

Savor His Presence

How good it is to savor, the presence of the Lord,
And know that I am getting, something free I can't afford,
For how much is a life worth, especially God's Son?
Whatever the price may be, it paid for the sinning I have done,
For the only One who is worthy, did it all for me,
And He also did it all for you, and you too can be set free,
From the prison sin has held you in, no matter what it may be,
Salvation can release you, and Jesus is the key,
Today can be that day, if you would just believe,
Just say salvation's simple prayer, eternal life you will receive,
Then you too can savor, the presence of the Lord,
And know too that you are getting something free, you can't afford.

You Were There

I looked out at snow covered mountains, and Lord You were there,
I walked along a beach with oceans touching my feet, and Lord You were there,
I soared in an airplane next to the heavens, and Lord You were there,
I danced on my grassy backyard carpet, and Lord You were there,
I visited an old friend, and Lord You were there,
I went to the cemetery where Mom and Dad were laid to rest, and Lord You were there,
I drove down country roads and saw fertile fields growing, and Lord You were there,
I played with the grandkids, and Lord You were there,
I feasted at the supper table, and Lord You were there,
I breathed fresh air in a free country, and Lord You were there,
I knelt down on my knees in the sanctuary, and Lord You were there,
I looked inside my heart, and Lord You were there.

Be a Winner

There are many sports played these days, with a lot of different balls,
And I have played a lot of them, but especially like football,
But you know it seems they’re playing earlier, when it is still real hot,
And I don’t really like sitting watching a game, when I sweat a lot,
But being in a jam-packed stadium, is a great place to be,
Being with several thousands fans, all cheering just like me,
And I get to thinking about God, while I’m sitting there,
He wants us to be more than spectators, His love we need to share,
And God believes in victory, He sure doesn’t like losing,
But when it comes to Heaven or Hell, He lets us do the choosing,
You know you are a loser, if you continue to be a sinner,
But if you become a believer, God will make you a winner.

No Other Way

No matter what I face in life, hope is never lost,
For my faith is strong, because You Lord have paid the cost,
And I never will be ashamed, of all that I believe,
For I can never repay You, for all I have and will receive,
You showed me the greatest love Lord, when You went to the cross,
And if not for this, my soul would be eternally lost,
But You Lord chose death, so that I could live,
And for this if I give everything, it is not enough to give,
So I will seek Your will only, to become what You want from me,
Cause if I try to live life on my own, what a failure I would be,
But with the hope inside me, the future looks real bright,
It cannot be any other way, cause I'm walking in God's light.

Good Things

Good Things
The world is full of bad news, but You Lord are good news,
And in all of my decisions, it is Your will I choose,
For bad choices only lead us, to others just as bad,
And I know Lord that in this life, You do not want us to be sad,
For you Lord are the meaning, of what true life is all about,
There is absolutely no reason, for believers to have any doubts,
Lord help us show we're grateful, for the sacrifice You made that day,
For it should never become an old memory, that with time just fades away,
In You Lord we have found salvation, and this we'll never forget,
And for this eternal decision, we will have no regrets,
For Lord every time I think about You, I just want to praise and sing,
And as we walk with You day by day, You always give good things.

Set Apart

The worker of evil never rests, he just won’t let us be,
As long as we are living right, he’s after you and me,
And it’s when he’s not there worrying us, we should really care about,
Because he will do anything, to make us live in doubt,
But even though we’re tempted, Jesus helps us to be strong,
Just call upon His name and the temptation will be gone,
For at this precious name, the devil will surely flee,
All the more we should be thankful, for Jesus has set us free,
But living for Him every day, is what we all must do,
For if we’re going to beat Satan, we must live our whole life true,
Good things is what we need to feed, our body, mind, and heart,
For holiness and purity is what sets us apart.

God's Touch

We go to the Healing Service, praying God will heal,
As believers we go knowing, that having good health is His will,
For the Bible is full of scriptures on healing, that we should believe,
And if we have the faith, then healing we will receive,
For God would have none suffer, for this is the devil's game,
God's touch will make us whole, and we will never be the same,
We go to the Healing Service, to learn what God would have us know,
And we lift up our requests to our Healer, expecting miracles to show,
As we tune our hearts in unison, the Holy Spirit we can feel,
And we study in God's Word, and before our eyes it becomes real,
Now is the appointed time, and God has called us to this place,
So we can share His love, as He pours out mercy and grace.

Amazing Wonder

May all I say and do Lord, be acceptable in your sight,
For all I ever want, is to walk continually in Your light,
Cultivate the good soil in my heart, so that I can grow,
For all I want in this life, is Your will to know,
May Your living waters, flow freely out of me,
And the love You've given me, let the whole world see,
For I will not be ashamed, to be known as Your child,
And when You call me to service, help me go the second mile,
Lord You alone are worthy, I'm so thankful I answered your call,
There is none other who could save us, for You are Lord of all,
To be more and more like You, is my daily goal,
As the amazing wonder of You, satisfies my soul.

Much More

I watched the moon, framed by the clouds, it was a glorious sight,
Then I realized that it was God, who had turned on that light,
As I looked around at His creation, a thought occurred to me,
A lot of people don't think about, who made all that they see,
God spoke a word, then all of this great universe was formed,
Jesus also spoke a word, and calmed a raging storm,
But I worship my creator, not all that He has made,
And I will be eternally grateful, for the price that God's Son paid,
As I slow down and look around, at all that my world holds,
To be in the will of my creator, has become my ultimate goal,
I stand in awe of God's creation, it draws me to Him to serve,
For Jesus' gift of my salvation, is so much more than I deserve.

With Each Breath

In the glory of Your creation, I can only stand in awe,
For when it was created, it was done without one flaw,
Like the pieces of a puzzle, Your perfection placed each part,
Your allowing me to dwell here, truly warms my heart,
For I never will be worthy, of Your mercy and Your grace,
But Your master plan includes forgiveness, now in Your will I seek my place,
You looked beyond my sins, and saw the plan You have for me,
And I have chosen Your Way, and seek to be all You want me to be,
For I want to feel Your presence, with each breath that I take,
And I want to praise and worship You, every moment I'm awake,
Believing You and trusting You, to guide me in all I do,
Cause I want to do my best, to help change this world for You.

Always Praise

Lord I know that I'm not perfect, but I know I've been forgiven,
From every bit of my sinfulness, You are my reason for living,
And Lord even when I stumble, I know You're there for me,
For only Your salvation, is the reason I am free,
There are times You have to change my path, when I stray from Your Way,
Yet I know You're always with me, and by my side You'll ever stay,
When temptation tempts my flesh, only You Lord can guard my heart,
For the devil would like nothing better, than to tear my soul apart,
Right now Lord in this quiet time, I seek only You,
And Lord the more I find You, the more I love You, it is true,
But Lord there is so much more to You, I will never know the whole,
But one thing I do know is that I'll always praise You, for Your saving my soul.

Love Nailed to a Cross

Why should I fear death Lord, when I know that You are life?
And love nailed to a cross, is salvation for us all,
Just for one to believe, is all it really takes,
When You knock on our hearts’ door, we need only answer that call,
And only in Your eyes Lord, are we worthy to be Yours,
For in Your hands You hold, our forever, eternity,
May we never ever forget, all that You have done,
And help us share it daily, so all the world can see,
The fields are white to harvest, now is the time to reap,
Before it is too late for them, we need to let them know,
For how can a lost and dying world, without us ever find?
That Jesus is the only answer, unless we tell them so.

Possible

Your mercy and grace falls on me, like a spring day shower,
I operate not in my own strength, but in Your mighty power,
And I believe with You Lord, that all things are possible,
I have the living water, and You keep my cup full,
Before I was so sinful, I stumbled around in the night,
But now that I have found You, I'm walking in Your eternal light,
And I pray that I am a walking, talking witness, for all the world to see,
For I will share the wonderful message of salvation, You have given me,
Now Lord I know that time is short, and there is much to do,
I just pray Lord You will tarry, so I can tell more lost ones about You,
So I can help turn into the Way, some of those that are hell bound,
And share Your love with them, this awesome treasure I have found.

All His

I said a little prayer to God, I believe He stopped to hear,
And His presence was so strong, I thought an angel might appear,
So I got down on my knees, to listen to His still small voice,
Cause I wanted to do His will, wanted to make the right choice,
For life is way too short, I've wasted too much of it as it is,
And I want God to search my heart, and see that I'm all His,
Tell me what is a life worth, if lived continually in sin?
When a life can become precious, if it is lived for Him,
For Jesus did not die on a cross, so anyone would go to hell,
He died to bring salvation, so we need to go and tell,
Anyone who does not know Him, to point them to God's Way,
For nothing will make God happier, than a soul being saved today.

I Seek Him

Before I said my prayer, even before it was a thought,
God already knew what I would be asking, the answer my heart sought,
He is not like all us humans, His promises He keeps,
And He wants us to sow His love, so the lost ones He can reap,
For His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and so are all His ways,
Lord help me be more like Jesus, to know Your will is what I pray,
May I not take one step in life, unless each one You guide,
For I feel eternally secure, when within Your presence I abide,
Life offers many choices, but eternity just two,
Yet Lord I walk without fear, because I have chosen You,
And Lord with each breath I take, may others be able to see,
That You can do for them, the same miracle You performed in me.

Free in Jesus

I’d been living pretty good, so I figured Satan would gear up for a fight,
But he was a sly old devil, he came at me in the night,
He threw everything he could at me, especially my past,
In my mind I felt I was slipping, so I had to act real fast,
So I called out to my Savior, Jesus, and I fell down on my knees,
His hand reached out and touched me, the one that calmed the seas,
And I felt a peace around me, and the temptation went away,
It was not the very first time, as Satan hangs around each day,
And that old devil would like nothing better, than to tear my life apart,
But the love of God surrounds me, so Satan can never touch my heart,
As much as the devil tries to shackle me, Jesus Christ has set me free,
And I know that Jesus will protect me, throughout eternity.

Now to Eternity

Life takes me in many directions; do I know which way to chose?
For if I take the wrong way, then eternity I lose,
A long time ago Christ died, so that I could experience life,
So that I didn’t have to suffer, in poverty, pain, or strife,
For the only way to salvation, is forever found in Him,
A simple prayer of believing, and I am forgiven of my sins,
Words of faith in Him spoken, and every prayer He hears,
And hell, death, and the grave, I will never have to fear,
Here on earth I chose prosperity and divine health is surely mine,
I cherish and claim God’s promises, He is with me all the time,
When I think about God’s word, and realize His words are true and real,
I remember that Isaiah tells me; by Christ’s stripes I am healed.

Directions

As I traveled down life’s road, seeking which direction I would take,
It was a time before I knew, that eternity was at stake,
And I admit I made some wrong decisions, before I learned what Christ had to pay,
Before I let Him into my heart, and started walking in His way,
I still know that I'm not perfect, though perfection is what I seek,
And I am still studying and praying, learning about turning the other cheek,
Eyes that once were blinded, now have a righteous sight,
I’m walking in the light, avoiding darkness, really trying to live right,
As I pray for wisdom and understanding, what God’s will is for me,
I still feel that I am growing, and finding out what He wants me to be,
As I seek to know the answers, and turn my eyes toward Heaven above,
In my spirit I can hear the Father speaking, all the answers start with love.

This Love

God has saved me, I'm forgiven, and this I truly know,
The answers are all in God’s word, daily it helps me grow,
Into what God would have me become, wisdom and knowledge there,
God’s love is the best gift of all, this love I’ll always share,
This love sent Jesus down to earth, as human as you and me,
And this love paid for my salvation, love’s cross has set me free,
Now I’m walking in love’s light, for the nights are long and cold,
But eternity I do not fear, for Satan can not steal my soul,
For it belongs to Jesus, from now and through forever,
May I be strong, may I be brave, forsaking Jesus never,
Just as Jesus bore His cross, with a crown of thorns to wear,
Daily I will lift up my cross, the one He’s asking me to bear.

Planting Seeds

Lord the first thing every morning, I need to find Your will for me that day,
So that with that single mindedness, I'll always be walking within Your Way,
And like an old mule wearing blinders, straight toward You is all I’ll see,
Guided by Your light, so that no darkness can enter into me,
And may others see the love, that You have placed within my heart,
That they would want to know the reason, why you have set me apart,
Hoping that there is time, to pull others out of the fire,
The salvation You've given me, sharing it is all that I desire,
Just to know You, it is the only way to survive eternity,
It is also the only way, one’s soul can be set free,
For I know that through it all, You will provide for all my needs,
And I know that You'll keep reaping, as long as I’m planting the seeds.

All About You

I have loved in life many times, sometimes just thought that I might be,
But I have never known a love Lord, like You have given me,
And as I draw closer to You, the clearer my mind seems to get,
Lord I know that it’s a growing process, and You’re not finished with me yet,
I thank You, and I want to give You, all the glory, honor, and praise,
Please accept my gift of worship, on my knees, as my hands raise,
For there is no other true God, You surely are the only one,
And I can never repay You, for everything You’re doing and have done,
Every day I pray that the mind of Christ, would also be my mind,
And I search within Your Word, so more about You I can find,
The more I find the more I realize, that every word is true,
And that love, life, and salvation, really is all about You.

To Hear Him

God calls us in the quiet times, if we would hear His still small voice,

And in the decisions we have to make, He still lets us make the choice,

I pray I always make the right ones, that I would seek God's will,

So in my heart, that He keeps beating, it's His love I forever feel,

For I know I'm just one heartbeat, away from eternity,

But I'm sure that when I get there, it's His smiling face I'll see,

I pray that there are others, I can help to get there too,

That my life will be a witness, in all I say and do,

For I do not want to be the reason, that would cause someone to fall,

Cause I want them to listen Lord, so they to can hear You when you call.

So that they too can experience, the love You freely give,

And so that they would find the Way, that You want us to live.

Oh Wow

Lord help me to be strong, for in my flesh I'm very weak,
Though Satan pursues my weaknesses, Lord it’s your will I still seek,
And I have to stay alert, and almost constantly I pray,
To keep my eyes on my eternal goal, and each step in Your Way,
May the Bible be my guidance, in how I always live,
And all the time I'm sharing, may it be Your love I give,
A believer must always be alert, because Satan constantly attacks,
But I will never be afraid, because Jesus has my back,
And He will not forsake me, He paid the ultimate price you see,
So even one sinner could find salvation, and finally be free,
I am in awe of every miracle, and in Your honor I humbly bow,
And about all I can say right now about it is oh wow!!!

It’s Up to You

I don't look for a special time or place, just so I can pray,
I will pray just about anywhere, and off and on all day,
And I know God speaks to me a lot, I just hope I always hear,
If I drift away a little, God’s waiting to draw me near,
For I have been a prodigal at times, but God is patient with me,
My choices weren't always the best, so I'm trying to get where I should be,
Praise and worship help a lot, and draw me closer to Him,
And I've found by staying in His presence, it’s easier not to sin,
God’s love is like none other, and none other can compare,
And we should seek no other, and it’s His love we should share,
To a lost and dying world, that doesn't have a clue,
And just think someone’s eternity, may all depend on you.

Price Paid

Jesus came to bring salvation, He paid the ultimate price,
But to cleanse the world of all its sin, it took this sacrifice,
Jesus loves us all so much, this sacrifice was freely given,
He did it so we could have eternal life, so we could be forgiven,
Salvation truly is a gift, free for everyone to receive,
Yet for each one to receive it, that one only must believe,
In Jesus Christ as their Savior, He is the only one,
The only one that’s worthy, for all that He has done,
So all our praise and worship, should be for the Lord of all,
It will be if we’ve accepted Him, if we’ve answered His call,
But this salvation we’ve received, His message says to share,
So a sinful world can know God’s love, and how much He really cares.

Pulling Me Through

Lord I lift Your name in praise and thanks, as I do everyday,
And I pray for more knowledge and wisdom, so it’s easier to walk in Your way,
For I wasted a lot of years, chasing lies into the night,
Until a rugged cross, came flashing into my sight,
Then I realized that what I had been seeking, was worth nothing at all,
And that I was headed straight for hell, really headed for a fall,
But I called out to You Lord, and asked You to set me free,
Then You reached out and touched my life, helped my blinded heart to see,
That salvation was found only in You, Your love given to me,
In that moment I was changed, and sought what You would have me be,
Now I know that throughout my sinful life, You were pulling me through,
And You have truly blessed me, how could I not love You?

Lord by Your Will

Lord I thank You for giving me the courage, to walk by faith and not by sight,
For I know You hold my future, and I am guided by Your light,
The straight and narrow leads toward good things, it is the Way I need to go,
And Your Word, the Bible, helps me learn the things I need to know,
For who but You is so faithful, and loves me like You do?
And who but You can change an old sin-scarred heart, and make it be brand new,
To live righteously and to be single-minded, is my daily goal,
For Lord You are my Savior, and You have truly saved my soul,
To be with You forever, that is where I plan to spend eternity,
To live for You here on earth, that is the person I want to be,
To lead others to You, that is the commission I need to fulfill,
To wake each morning and say, today Lord help me to do Your will.

Reaching Out

I thank You Lord for hope, for faith, and that I truly believe,
And Your mercy, grace, favor, and blessings, I gladly receive,
And anyone without these, to what can and do they cling?
How do they survive without knowing, the joy loving You can bring?
For life is way too short, to just wander through it aimlessly,
Without finding out what one should do, what one should really be,
For without some type of guidance, one tends to travel the wrong road,
No hope and no direction, now how does someone carry such a load?
But Lord for myself personally, I will always reach out to You,
I pray the lost souls find You, and will accept Your salvation too,
And in their finding You Lord, I pray that I can play a part,
In leading them to You, as You change their heart.

Love for Mom

This is a very special day for mothers everywhere,

Their children honor them, and show how much they care,

It's a good day for special meals, and some gifts are passed around,

And the words, I love you Mom, just have a special sound,

To each child their Mom is the best, no other can compare,

For who else is there to share, with this relationship so rare,

Between a child and mother, nurtured from their birth,

In a child's eyes there's no Mom like her, anywhere on earth,

Every time I think of my Mom, there are no words that I can say,

Of how much God blessed us through her, I'm thankful when I pray,

I'm really glad we can honor Mom, in this special way,

For you know without a mother, we would not be here today.

Open Eyes

The devil can’t mess up my life, not unless I let him,
He may lead me up to it, but I am the one that sins,
And although I may slip sometimes, I will never fall,
For there is a name that keeps me, and on it I often call,
It is the name of Jesus, my Savior He’ll always be,
And as for the schemes of Satan, through all of them I see,
For when Jesus came into my heart, He opened up my eyes,
Now I don’t act stupid anymore, I know Satan just tells lies,
Jesus always guides me, He has my eternal plan,
And as long as I don’t let go, He will always hold my hand,
In Him I place my hope and trust, and I will forsake Him never,
An eternity in Heaven awaits me, where I will live with Jesus forever.

Set Free

The closer I get to God, the more Satan brings up my past,
And just like Jesus said, some things call us to pray and fast,
For Life does not get any easier, just because we walk in the Way,
We have to be more vigilant, with every passing day,
For Satan gets more persistent, and attacks us all the more,
But I am covered by Christ’s blood, Jesus is guarding my heart’s door,
The Holy One is more than sufficient, to take care of all my needs,
And I feel His protection, when Satan tries to plant his evil seeds,
Now nothing can make me go back, to the way I used to be,
For I was once a prisoner to my sin, but Christ has set me free,
And ever will my life be filled, with worship and praise for Him,
Because I know Jesus is the one, who died for all my sins.

Searching

Life has been a journey, searching for things I needed to know,
But it seemed all I reached were dead ends, with nowhere else to go,
And all the roads were broad and curvy, and they all led into the night,
Yet I thought if I kept searching, everything would be alright,
I just got more confused, with no answers to be found,
And I felt like I was just going in circles, around and around and around,
Then someone told me about a straight and narrow road, one that headed toward the light,
It ran to a place where the deaf received their hearing, and the blind received their sight,
I heard someone talking about a savior, Jesus Christ was his name,
I realized He was what I had been searching for, now my life is not the same,
When I called out to Jesus believing, He forgave me of all my sins,
And now I only continue one search, and that is to know more about Him.

Filled Up

Purify my mind Lord, and come and fill my heart,
Let me be Christ-minded, I know You have set me apart,
Because I am listening to Your Word, so that I can hear,
All that You would have me to know, so Your will for me is clear,
For I have made worldly decision, for most of my life,
And I remember most of my life, being constantly in strife,
I have struggled through it, yet things seemed worse each day,
But things truly now are righteous, since I set my feet upon Your Way,
Since I found the direction toward, what You want me to be,
Because truly I am experiencing Your salvation, since You have set me free,
I look forward to the day, when I sit at Your dinner table and sup,
And I am real excited, Your Holy Spirit has filled me up,
I tremble in anticipation, of what You are going to do,
And I have never regretted, putting all my trust in You,
As I enter now into Your presence, on my knees I humbly bow,
And I can feel Your mighty presence, it is all around me now.

Truly Worthy

We've come to a healing place, to seek our Father's will,
The promises within God's Word, we want Him to fulfill,
For we want to be prepared, for what You have in store,
Because we've seen Your miracles, we want to experience more,
Lord fill us with Your love, we need it to show we care,
For love truly is the greatest gift, that we could ever share,
We pray for those who don't know You, that they would believe,
So they will come to You, and the free gift of salvation receive,
That they would learn what was accomplished, by Your great sacrifice,
Eternity secured, by Your paying the ultimate price,
And Lord You are truly worthy, of the praise that we now give,
May it always be Your will, that we always live.

Peaceful Faith

Though You are not visible Lord, Your presence I can feel,
My faith helps me to know, that Your love for me is real,
With everything that’s happening in this world, I feel Your coming is very near,
But I look forward to the future, for I know I have nothing to fear,
For whatever may happen, I know You will stand with me,
That is why day by day, I seek what You would have me be,
And as Your protection surrounds me, and I walk in Your light,
I truly believe Lord, that everything will be alright,
As I read Your Word, I know it contains no lies,
I joy in the promise that in eternity, my soul will never die,
And I will ever praise You, even after this earthly life should cease,
For all is well with my soul Lord, and I live now within Your peace.

Use Me Up Lord

Lord sometimes I get tired in body, but my spirit is refreshed in You,
And I struggle some days just to get up, yet You cause each morning to be brand new,
For You are the reason I keep going, living day by day,
Your yoke is always easy, as I walk within Your Way,
I know You used Abraham and Moses, and they were pretty old,
So age doesn’t really matter, when You call me to be bold,
To share with this old world, all the joy that You can bring,
For them to want to know my Savior, whose praises I always sing,
Lord You are very holy, and very precious in my sight,
And reading about You in God’s Word, brings my soul much delight,
But today what I really would like to see, is what You would have me be,
For now is the appointed time, I want to be used and have Your will fulfilled in me.

Learning How to Live

Straight is the way and narrow is the gate, through which we all needs go,
To come into Your presence Lord, the real meaning of life to know,
For there is only one Way, and Jesus You are that one,
We should seek more wisdom every day, to learn more of God’s son,
The world wants us to choose their way, the one that’s broad and wide,
But we cannot find the true peace, if we outside God’s will abide,
I pray we all make the right choice, it is our own to make,
Eternity hangs in the balance, there is so much at stake,
Now humbly in Your presence I bow, for Lord I’ve chosen You,
Use all of my talents, please show me what to do,
For all the years I’ve wasted Lord, I pray You will forgive,
Your will not mine now is my prayer, I’m learning how to live.

Flowing Out of Me

How do I find the words, to express what's in my heart?
To say just how I feel, where do I really start?
For I know You've heard all the old cliques, but I want to tell You more,
In the telling I want to feel like the disciples, when You first called them by the shore,
For words are not enough, there is a greater need,
To be spurred into action, to help plant salvation's seed,
For how will a lost world know, if they have not heard?
And then how will they hear, if I do not share God's Word?
May there be someone to send, if I cannot go,
There is the whole world searching, Jesus is who they need to know,
And Lord as they are searching, open their eyes so they can see,
Your love that's easy enough to find, flowing out of me.

For All Eternity

Some religions can be tedious, but not my Christianity,
For I am learning every day, what God would have me be,
And I believe every word in the Bible, is exactly true,
It is God’s road map to life, just for me and you,
To be only in Your will Lord, and accepting all Your spiritual gifts,
The joy that I have found in You, always my spirit lifts,
For there is no other god, in which we should believe,
Only You oh Lord, and Your salvation I’ve received,
Now may I represent You, in this life that I now live,
And may I always seek and share You, and Your love freely give,
For You are the Way, the Truth, and the Life, who bore a cross for me,
So that me and others would not be lost, for all eternity.

May the Lord

May the joy of the Lord, dwell within you always,
May the peace of the Lord, comfort you each day,
May the strength of the Lord, lift your spirit up,
May the new wine of the Lord, ever fill your cup,
May the love of the Lord, overflow your heart,
May the sanctification of the Lord, keep you set apart,
May the salvation of the Lord, be an ever present thought,
May the knowledge of the Lord, be something always sought,
May the hope of the Lord, keep you through the night,
May the Way of the Lord, be your guiding light,
May the presence of the Lord, forever remain real,
May the will of the Lord, always be your will.

To Your Graduation

Oh how fantastic it is for you, high school graduation day,
But this is not the end just a small rest, as you move further along the way,
For I know you have a higher calling, God’s plan will surely unfold,
I pray God’s grace, mercy, and favor on you, but also that you be strong and bold,
That wisdom and knowledge flow freely, that you learn all you need to know,
But also that God’s hand guides you, in the way that you should go,
As angels protect you from the evil one, and guard each step you take,
Just know your loved ones are praying, for every decision you have to make,
And I know God is happy for you, and His smile is a mile wide,
For You have walked with Him many years, in His will you now abide,
Wherever tomorrow takes you, look through God’s eyes to see,
And just know too that I am proud of you, God Bless you Bethany.

Surely Certain

No matter what the circumstances, believers always have a hope,
Something wells up inside of us, that gives us the strength to cope,
For our future is surely certain, secured throughout eternity,
If we study our Bibles, God’s future plans truly are easy to see,
Though we walk though the valley of the shadow of death, we are not alone,
And by just speaking the name of Jesus, Satan is long gone,
Life is so much better, when covered by God’s mercy and grace,
In His favor and His blessings, spiritually He takes me to a special place,
In the past I had no trouble, dwelling habitually in sin’s night,
But now Jesus has truly brought me, into His glorious light.
So now if you aren’t walking, within salvation’s Way,
May you accept Jesus as your Savior, and believe on Him today.

Creating Eternity

Behold I looked upon the cross, a lamb there that was slain,
He was creating for eternity, so salvation we could gain,
There was no other sacrifice, He was the only one,
He left His throne in Heaven, He is God's only Son,
The blood spilt so that we could have, eternal life forever,
So now our sins are covered, God will forsake us never,
This gift was freely given, this gift given in love,
God's mercy, grace, and favor, rain down like showers from above,
In Him we are forgiven, in Him we can be pure,
Our sins are now washed white as snow, of this we can be sure,
For God fulfills His promises, the greatest He sent His Son to be,
The lamb that takes away our sins, crucified for you and me.

In His Presence

In my mind’s eye I was standing in God’s presence, no shadow could I see,
For the glorious light of His being, completely engulfed me,
Jesus was sitting by His side, and I could see Him smile,
So I decided to get down on my knees, and worship for a while,
I now realize there is nothing of importance, but just being in His will,
Lord help me be obedient, for I know Your love is real,
Just to praise and honor You, is all I want to do,
For life truly is worth nothing, if it’s lived away from You,
All the chains of sin are broken, hallelujah I am free,
And everything I want in life, is what God would have me be,
To live within His will, to walk along His Way,
So everyone I meet would know, I have been in God’s presence every day.

Guarding Our Hearts

I came to the sanctuary, and quietly walked through the door,
Praying God would stir our spirits, more powerfully than before,
That we could learn more about Him, and walk more closely to His will,
For we came to the sanctuary, so His presence we could feel,
But everyday should be a day, we should seek Him out,
For if we are not seeking Him, Satan can fill our minds with doubt,
To steal, kill, and destroy, is what Satan wants to do,
And sometimes he reaches for us, when we’re sitting in the pew,
But Jesus guards our hearts, and saved us from the evil one,
There are not enough words we can say, to thank Him for all He’s done,
He came to earth, a sacrifice, now His blood covers our sins,
May all praise, honor, and glory, always go to Him.

All I Should Be

I am seeking to be holy, seeking God's own righteousness,
Praying God would know my heart, and all my efforts bless,
That all of my past sins, I could leave in the past,
Relying now on Jesus, His salvation will forever last,
For I once was just living in my sin, without one care at all,
But that all changed in an instant, when I answered My Savior's call,
For he truly changed my heart, and now I live only for Him,
May I always keep my eyes on Jesus, and not return to where I'd been,
Just to listen to that still small voice, who guides me in the Way,
It is more than just a sometimes thing, I need to live it everyday,
For before I was even born, God had a special plan for me,
Lord help me to fulfill that plan, and be all You want me to be.

Election Sanity

Where did all the politicians come from, did they pop out of the woodwork?
And I don't think I have ever seen, such a fine collection of jerks,
For I cannot tell if they are speaking the truth, or just telling lies,
And seeing all the street signs, well it makes a grown man cry,
With all their ads on TV, I don't even turn it on,
I do know one thing though, I'll be glad when all this is gone,
And I wonder sometimes if they all just want to steal, kill, and destroy,
Or maybe they need the money, to pay for all their toys,
I can’t believe there’s any way, all their promises they'll keep,
At times it resembles horse manure, and it’s getting mighty deep,
And when I go to vote, I hope a revelation I will see,
So I can pick the right one, and keep my sanity.

Pastor Rick

It seems like every year, we get a little older,
And then it also seems like, we get a little bolder,
As a believer we realize, we will reap what we sow,
Now we want to share God’s love, so all the world will know,
Personally pastor you'll never know, just how much you mean to me,
For you have taught me many things, so a better man I can be,
I especially love Healing School, it is great to hear you teach,
And it is also good on those rare occasions, when I get to hear you preach,
For you truly are a man of God, may He bless you with mercy and grace,
Cause I thank God every day for you, and our being together in this place,
We know that you, like Jesus, want to heal all those diseased and sick,

All His

I said a little prayer to God, I believe He stopped to hear,
And His presence was so strong, I thought an angel might appear,
So I got down on my knees, to listen to His still small voice,
Cause I wanted to do His will, wanted to make the right choice,
For life is way too short, I've wasted too much of it as it is,
And I want God to search my heart, and see that I'm all His,
Tell me what is a life worth, if lived continually in sin?
When a life can become precious, if it is lived for Him,
For Jesus did not die on a cross, so anyone would go to hell,
He died to bring salvation, so we need to go and tell,
Anyone who does not know Him, to point them to God's Way,
For nothing will make God happier, than a soul being saved today.
