After God's Own Heart

Oh may I be like David, of whom God said he is a man after my own heart,

That I may do all His will, the reason He set me apart,

That I may be used by Him, in bringing the lost out of the darkness,

To steer them away from eternal death, so eternal life they don't miss,

For in spite of my shortcomings, I've found that God truly loves us all,

But to my dismay there are many, who will never answer His call,

Yet if I can make a difference, if it only might change one,

I need to continue sharing God's truth, that His will is always done,

May I never be passive in my pursuit, keeping my faith real,

That is why I pray every day, that I do Yours Lord and not my will,

That in my living from Your Way, I will never depart,

And that just by looking at me others will know, I am after God's own heart.

2013

As two thousand twelve disappears, and we step into a new year,

The past we cannot change, but we can face tomorrow without fear,

For I know I am not the only one, who has asked God to bless this land,

But we need to be faithful, and take hold of His holy hand,

And though things are real difficult, and relief seems far away,

It is time to know the Truth, and get on our knees and pray,

For God has blessed this land, we don't want freedom to disappear,

And His still small voice, is the one we need to hear,

Our nation was founded on Godly principles, why do we push Him away?

But even in our ignoring Him, He loves us even more today,

So may we turn back to Him, thankful we live in the land of the free,

For in Him we'll find the best, in this year two zero one three.

Celebrated

I miss the way it used to be, how we celebrated Christmas day,

Jesus seemed more important, yes the one who once in a manger lay,

Do we even pause long enough, to read the Christmas story?

To recognize the impact of His birth, the angels gave Him all the glory,

We need to honor Him more, with our worship and praise,

For Jesus is the only one, that can a lost dead soul raise,

Is eternity not worth enough, that there should be no other reason,

Since He offers the gift of salvation, acceptable no matter the season,

Lord I thank you for eternal life, it is the best present I've ever received,

And without a doubt every word in the Bible, I truly believe,

For You are the greatest example ever, of how we all should give,

So this Christmas I dedicate all my being to You, by the way I live.

Still the Greatest Gift

There is a whole lot more to Christmas, than just gifts under a tree,

For a baby born in a manger, is the greatest gift there will ever be,

The shepherds hearing the angels sing, traveled to Bethlehem to see,

The babe, a Savior, and now forever, to God be all glory,

A star shining brightly during His season, for all the world to see,

The wise men followed it, bringing gold, frankincense, and myrrh, these three,

Gifts worthy of a king, to which one day all will bend their knee,

Many believing and having faith, His great truth to receive,

And if eternal life with Him, we ever hope to achieve,

We have to realize that the only way, will always be He,

At this special time of year, let us remember the sacrifice made to set us free,

For Christmas is about the birth of salvation, gifted to you and me.

Special

In my mind's eye I'm seeing a cold stable, a baby in a manger filled with hay,

His mother Mary tending to him, her knowing this was a special day,

Knowing she had fulfilled God's plan for her, her heart now filled with joy,

For laying there before her, she knew Jesus was more than just another baby boy,

For the lowly shepherds came to see Him, later the magi gifts would bring,

Hearing about what had drawn them there, what they heard the angels sing,

Mary knew deep down within herself, she held the one who could save all,

His message pure and simple, salvation found by answering His call,

And I am set apart by the fact, that it is in Him I am believing,

As I study His Holy Word, the knowledge of truth I am receiving,

Although no angels filled the sky, no bright star shining at my birth,

I was born for a specific purpose, I am special here on earth.

Called Out

I am thankful every day, that I am one of the ones called out,

That I am a member of God's kingdom, my eternity assured no doubt,

For I have been redeemed by the blood, never to be the same,

Since I called on Jesus for salvation, believing in His mighty name,

My life has been transformed, and I realize I'm truly set apart,

The mercy of my Savior, has radically changed my heart,

The things of this world are nothing, compared to the Father's love,

That's why I'm keeping my thoughts focused, on the good things above,

Looking to what my future holds, not clinging to my past,

For my human being is temporary, only the spiritual will last,

Now God's Word guides and teaches me, in what life really is about,

So I will pursue my purpose on earth, the reason God called me out.

True Joy

The shepherds spread out on the hills, heard the angels sing,

In their amazement they received the news, of a baby king,

They traveled to the town of Bethlehem, and found Him in a bed of straw,

Before them lay a Savior, salvation's plan born without flaw,

This baby grew up to be a sacrifice, so all could be set free,

So Heaven could be our future, and praising God our eternity,

And now we distort the true meaning, in our celebrating Christmas day,

Forgetting the One who created, the straight and narrow Way,

Thinking more of the food we are eating, and all the gifts we give,

When we need to be sharing the reason for the day, in the way we live,

May all have a wonderful Christmas, every man, woman, girl, and boy,

Just remember it's Jesus' birthday, let Him fill your heart with true joy.

True Joy

Imitating God

God I am created in Your image, so I seek to imitate You,

May my life reflect Your values, in all I say and do,

I love You with all my heart, all of my soul, all of my mind,

And I study Your Holy Word, so Your will I can find,

All of the devil's temptation, may I always be able to resist,

For I want to walk with You Lord, so no blessings I will miss,

I'm so thankful that even in what I used to be, You never gave up on me,

And I'll get to praise and worship You, throughout eternity,

I will love my neighbor as myself, for Lord You have shown me how,

And I can experience good things here on earth, they are available now,

So use me Lord to change lives, to make old sinful hearts brand new,

That I can complete Your purpose for my life, by imitating You.

Oh Israel, Israel you are surrounded by your enemies,

But as for myself I will be your friend, throughout eternity,

For I know that you are blessed of God, and that He has a plan,

And one day you will realize that Jesus, was more than just human,

Today I pray for your peace, for your constant Heavenly protection,

For I believe you have suffered long enough, and endured too much rejection,

So I will support you and lift you up to God, may you fulfill His will,

And from the beginning until today, know God loves you still,

Remember the devil is causing all your problems, and he wants you to fail,

For he would not like anything better, than to see all Jews in hell,

So be strong and fearless through it all, and your heritage defend,

For I am not a prophet but I know, in the end you win.

Thankful Always

It is wonderful that this great nation, still rejoices in thanksgiving,

A time we can reflect on things, that make it beautiful to be living,

And having the freedom to do this, makes it a glorious thing,

So I will stand and honor our flag, when the Star Spangled Banner we sing,

May we never forget those who have given all, the ultimate sacrifice,

To preserve what we take for granted, they paid so dear a price,

Oh Lord of our salvation, on whom our forefathers founded this land,

I will remember my mind's picture, of Your nail scarred feet and hands,

Forgive us for falling short, of all You want us to be,

For in my heart I believe, it is You that keeps us free,

And it doesn't take a designated time, for me to bow and gratefully pray,

For Lord You have made my life such, that I am thankful every day.

Salt and Light

I am the salt of the earth, and I am this world's light,

As the salt may I make things better, as the light remove the night,

For I truly seek my purpose Lord, I want to know Your will,

So things of this world diminish, and the things of Heaven become real,

I have tried to make sense of this world, traveling a cold dark road,

This kept me where the devil wanted me to be, it was a heavy load,

But Lord I found the truth, and experienced Your salvation,

What a wonderful miracle, it was an eternal revelation,

For I came just like I was, and Jesus You accepted me,

And how glorious the future will be, spending it with You through eternity,

I will always be thankful, for Your forgiving and forgetting my faults,

Now may I fulfill my purpose, as the light of the world and its salt.

Useable

In my mind's eye I'm walking on a fence, balancing up on the top rail,

On one side is the promise of Heaven, the other the finality of hell,

And I am the one responsible, on whom the weight of my choice will fall,

But Lord I saw Your light, and on Your name did call,

For to enter the presence of the devil, means my life has been a waste,

Yet I have moved away from that, and of Your glory had a taste,

And I am enjoying good things, poured out from Heaven above,

And I’m surrounded by Your blessings, basking in Your love,

Now I know I'll have to stick around here, living here on earth,

But Lord I've wanted to be with You, since experiencing My new birth,

So just use me to my full capacity, being all You want me to be,

Especially being Your light in a lost world, helping set them free.

Exposing My Love

Lord just as You have taught me, I pray that Your kingdom comes,

And in everything, but especially me, I pray Your will be done,

For the world continually grows more evil, just wallowing in sin,

I wasted a lot of my life living in the flesh, I don't plan to go there again,

Lord You have showed me that the spiritual, is where I need to dwell,

Then through whatever life throws at me, I can say that all is well,

Lord You have opened my eyes, to true Heavenly revelations,

For indeed Your teachings have created, a cultural revolution,

And I fight a constant battle against the devil, because of what I believe,

But Lord he is a loser, for Your Way I have received,

I will always champion Your cause, seeking what You want me to do,

And may my main purpose in living, be exposing my love for You.

To Your Attention

Lord in all I do and say, I pray I don't draw any attention,

To myself but point to You, and the path to Your redemption,

For I want to be a pure vessel, an instrument You can use,

To share Your love with a lost world, the message of good news,

That Jesus was born of a virgin, walked this earth, died on a cross,

This birthed the plan of salvation, so none had to suffer eternal loss,

So that any could make the choice, not to take the path to hell,

This is the message Lord I need to speak, the truth I need to tell,

For You would have none perish, and this is exactly how I feel too,

For Lord You are the only Way, and life really is all about You,

I will point all I meet to You Lord, toward good things and Heaven above,

So they will seek Your forgiveness, and they will want Your love.

Simple But Enough

Until I met You Lord, I didn't know anyone could love me so much,

That my heart could be made new, just by Your saving touch,

For I only had earthly knowledge, concerning this thing everyone calls love,

But it is nothing compared, to the love birthed in Heaven above,

Once I lived only to do my will, what thrilled and entertained me,

Until I believed in You Lord, then the real truth I could see,

I've found You are amazing, after I called upon Your name,

And now I'm washed clean by Your blood, my life will never be the same,

Now as to those blinded by the devil, I pray You open up their eyes,

For You were even thinking of them, while You hung on a cross to die,

The simple message of salvation, preached that day on Calvary,

Though simple it is enough, to change anyone's eternity.

Being Useful

Lord as to Your Word and will, I pray You will enlighten me,

Because the path that You would have me walk, I want to plainly see,

For I am not of this world, but I have to dwell here now,

So I want to follow You exactly, but I truly just want to know how,

You have given me Your Holy Bible, to give the directions that I need,

Let me strive to show Your love perfectly, in every word and deed,

And I look forward every day, for You are the blessing I receive,

Touching my life constantly, because of the truth that I believe,

May my thoughts and actions be holy, for I want to be sanctified,

So everyone will know the reason, why You came to this earth and died,

That their salvation hangs in the balance, that is their eternity,

Please fill me with Your knowledge, so I can be all You want me to be.

Total Control

No matter what the devil throws at me, Lord I will still look to You,

For the devil is a liar, and You are all that's good and true,

How pretty a picture Satan paints, trying to draw us away,

But I use my spiritual eyes seeing his evil, and follow You each day,

For Lord the future looks pretty bad, unless You're in my eternity,

I traveled too long on the wrong road, until You changed this heart in me,

Now I know this earthly life isn't perfect, no matter how hard I strive,

But I will still seek Your perfection, You make living worth being alive,

I will worship and praise You my Savior, no words can express how I feel,

But I'll do all that's humanly possibly, to show You that my faith is real,

Lord may I seek Yours and not my will, that You can have total control,

And Satan can just stay in hell, for Lord You possess my soul.

Stay Strong

At the playing of the Star Spangled Banner, with hand on my heart crossed,

I pray no part of my freedom, will ever suffer any loss,

For there are many seeking to destroy us, even from within,

God forgive us for our ignorance, as our country continues to sin,

I hope that we haven't waited too long, to get on our knees and pray,

We've forgotten what this great nation was founded on, where did we all stray?

God forgive us for not remembering, You're the reason that we're here,

May we not slip up and lose, everything that we hold dear,

I pray we don't play follow the leader, and act like we're deaf and mute,

Because we can lose the privilege, to stand and Old Glory salute,

So God steer us into the right way, forgive and forget our wrongs,

For I believe if we seek Your face, America will stay strong.

Every Single Day

Lord I want in everything to walk with You, and never ever stop my growing,

For I will never learn all about You, the majestic One, all knowing,

Though I am not and never will be perfect, I know You know my heart,

And I am glad that from the darkness of this world, I am set apart,

I don't thank You enough for Your protection, I am covered by Christ's blood,

When I think about how much You love me, it overwhelms me like a flood,

So I need to be more passionate, in my living for You,

And seek Your perfect will, in even the smallest things I do,

I need to realize it's not a bother to You, every time I pray,

But that You want to be my all in all, every single day,

So on earth as it is in Heaven, may Your will be done,

Still Singing

When this human life grows silent, with not even a church bell ringing,

I know that just like at Christ's birth, the angels are still singing,

Proclaiming honor and praise to Jesus, Savior, Lord, and King,

His virgin birth only the first of many miracles, He would gloriously bring,

For throughout His human race, Jesus would teach, and preach, and heal,

His passion for the people, would fill their souls with zeal,

Though how grand all of His miracles, they were not why He came to earth,

The shadow of the cross, always followed Him from His birth,

And for all that it cost Jesus, His life He freely gave,

For He came to provide the only means, that a lost world can be saved,

So with everything I am, to Him I will eternally cling,

For I know He is the reason, that the angels all still sing.

The Eternal Decision

Every day we make the decision, of whom we choose to serve,

As for me I will choose Jesus, who blesses me more than I deserve,

Life and death hang in the balance, of the decision that one makes,

Life is my choice because I have learned, all that is at stake,

And this is not something temporary, it involves our eternity,

I have found the source of eternal life, oh what glory that will be,

For God promised me a mansion in Heaven, when I chose to believe,

And nothing can ever change that, this truth I have received,

Now God's will is the most important thing, I seek every day,

For sin is looking to sway me, if I stray off the straight and narrow Way,

So I am oh so glad, that my future has been reserved,

And it is only guaranteed because, it is God I choose to serve.

To Be With You

Oh Lord my soul groans to be with You, my Messiah, the Anointed one,

And though I feel Your presence I won't be with You, until this life is done,

Unless by God's direction the time arrives, for Your glorious return,

But that thought doesn't lessen my desire, the reason my heart is churns,

For every day here on this earth, the evilness seems to grow,

I realize that this is because, of You they do not know,

The untruths are presented as the truth, but spiritually I can see,

That they are trying to change me, into what they want me to be,

But I will never let that happen, even until the very end,

I will not stop believing in You Lord, for on You I always depend,

I am learning more and more in Your Word, what is really true,

And eternity cannot hold the excitement, and I will be with You.

Only

Jesus is the only Way, by which one may enter into Heaven,

For He was and is the redemption, the forgiveness for our sins,

I want to develop a kingdom culture in my life, not one of this earth,

That the faith that I am living, will be a powerful light that shines,

So that my steps toward perfection, will be daily refined,

Growing more into the person, that God wants me to be,

May my salvation testimony, help those blinded by sin to see,

For I want never by omission or commission, ever to cause one heart to turn,

Toward a hell filled with unbelievers, where their soul will eternally burn,

Let the direction I point the lost toward, be constant and unwavering every day,

For Lord I trust You and place my hope in knowing, that You are the only Way.

No Darkness

I wonder if in Heaven, all the mansions are on beachside,

And in my mind's eye as I take in the magnificence, what a place to abide,

For I'm sure all of the shoreline, is made up of grains of gold,

Such as this Lord makes me thankful, that you have saved my soul,

And my pleasure in eternity, will be to praise and honor my King,

My Savior who died on Calvary, to Him I will humbly sing,

For without Jesus my eternity, would not be something to talk about,

But in my believing in Him, my faith contains no doubt,

I look forward to grand reunions, happy times these all will be,

For Heaven is full of joy and light, no darkness there to see,

Yet to actually describe it, is beyond anything I can imagine,

But the best thing is being with Jesus, all would be lost without Him.

Autumn Already

Oh how beautiful is the autumn season, all the colors look so great,

I look forward to the cooler weather, after this summer I can't wait,

It seems to be raining the brightly colored leaves, every single day,

Walking on this multicolored carpet, lifts my spirit when the sky is gray,

Whether walking on a beach or in the mountains, this season just feels right,

How wonderful to sit out and watch the stars, on a cool fall night,

And you can't look anywhere, without seeing footballs flying,

If I said I didn't enjoy that sport, then I would be flat out lying,

The beauty and temperature of autumn, always feel my heart with cheer,

And it will always be welcome, as I stand rake in hand each year,

Thank You God for the four seasons, I bow humbly before You still,

For truly all of Your creation, shows me Your love for me is real.

Thoroughly

I will thoroughly enjoy life Lord, for I know it is your creation,

But I will not waste all my time, in worldly recreation,

For things go so much better, when I spend time in Your Word and praying,

The world will never know about You, not unless they're told,

Most don't realize the price You paid Lord, to redeem their soul,

So I humble myself in Your presence Lord, You are the greatest power,

I should live like Your return is imminent, I do not know the hour,

So direct me as I seek Your will, so each step taken is in Your Way,

And may I be consistent as a believer, each and every day,

I will praise and worship You Lord, for everything You've done for me,

And for me life is found in You Lord, and I will enjoy it thoroughly.

No Mystery

There are many things in the Bible, that to me are a mystery,

But as to my salvation and my growing in it, that is very clear to me,

And I will not return to my old sins, but will pursue what I now believe,

More knowledge of God's will for my life, is what I want to receive,

I am sorry that I wasted so much time, not seeking what is true,

That God has a special plan for me, just like He does for you,

But now I've realized the path I need to walk, my choice for eternity,

To reside eternally in the Heavenly place, prepared especially for me,

To God every soul is precious, may none perish but all be saved,

Accepting the free gift that Jesus offers, by the very life He gave,

That from the devil's bondage, everyone can be set free,

For Heaven and hell are the only two choices, and this truly is no mystery.

The Human Walk

In my lifetime things have changed so much, our world is now high tech,

And when I shop they want plastic, forget the cash or check,

During my younger days we always ate at home, there wasn't much fast food,

Is it just me that thinks the changing generations, are more crude and rude,

We used to know all our neighbors, but I now wonder who lives next door,

Why people won't even speak to you, when you go to the store,

I will still cheer my champions, I don't like the word defeat,

But after all these years of chasing it, I don't think the two ends ever meet,

Yet I'm still a player in this game called life, though I don't run as fast,

As I used to, but for the most part it has been a blast,

I guess after expressing my opinion, you could say cheap is the talk,

But as I grow older I wish this human race, would become the human walk.

I Hope I Ain't Killing Time

When I was young it seemed the day would last forever, but now it goes so fast,

And I'm looking for the brake pedal to slow it down, so the good things will last,

Now I know that time is priceless, and of course it's free,

And I have used enough of it, but it does not belong to me,

As much as I would want to, time is something I can't keep,

I guess if I could save it in a bottle, then great rewards I would reap,

Oh yea and once I've lost it, I can never get it back,

If I try to hold it, it runs like water through a crack,

They say my time is the hyphen, so I hope at some time I've gone the extra mile,

And that maybe along the way I've helped someone, maybe made them smile,

But before my time runs out, and I walk on that Heavenly shore,

God there are parts of this human race I enjoy, let me run it a little more.

How Majestic His Creation

I start out through the woods on a narrow path, on a sunny day,

Alabama humidity has already kicked in, my sweat drops fall along the way,

Many different birds are singing, I see many flying in the air,

A thousand butterflies surround me, floating along without a care,

And in my traveling the narrow path, I walk up on a bubbling stream,

With all the beautiful greenery around me, seems like I am in a dream,

All alone I sit down on a log to listen, God's creation is all I hear,

I don't think it's my imagination, but I feel His presence near,

So I will gladly add this moment, into the vault of my memories,

For it surely has caused a thrill, really stirred this heart inside of me,

In my enjoying what God has made, a blessing I truly have received,

And how in all this majesty, can anyone in You God not believe?

In My Walking and Talking

Sometimes we get so caught up, in the way our life has become,

That we forget about God's blessings, and all the victories we've won,

For the battle ever goes on, concerning our doing wrong or right,

Whether we continue in the devil's darkness, or we walk in God's light,

And in the faith in my salvation, I can always remain strong,

For to You Lord any thought, or memory of my sin is gone,

So Lord to keep from slipping, I trust You in the steps I'm walking,

And I will only speak good things, in all the words I'm talking,

Please keep me filled with the Holy Spirit, so that Your love overflows,

That I can easily share it, no matter where I may go,

I am full of anticipation, to see what eternity has in store,

And I will be ever thankful, I answered when You knocked on my heart's door.

In the Kingdom of Light

I have left the kingdom of darkness, to dwell in the kingdom of light,

Rejecting all the bad things and evil in my life, to do only what is right,

For sin breeds more sin in a life, that harvest not a good way to end,

So my salvation is what I will nurture, and on my Jesus I will depend,

Yet Satan doesn't know he's defeated, my soul he still tries to possess,

But God ever loves and protects me, and God is the one who will bless,

Now I will walk with my Savior, ever walking His narrow Way,

Showered in righteousness and truth, drawing me down to my knees to pray,

More and more it seems I am chasing, the beauty of doing God's will,

For with each step I take in that direction, His presence becomes more real,

And the more I study the Bible, the better my spiritual eyesight,

For there is no future in the darkness, but eternity lives in the Light.

Even One Step

In my life I will never look back, because I am not going that way,

And if I only take one step forward, then I will take it every day,

Life is too short for me to worry any, about where I have been,

But I know it is a place to avoid, for it is filled with sin,

Still the devil is ever after me, trying to get me to return,

Yet I have found a better way, Lord it is for You that my heart yearns,

Now is the moment that matters, I just need to forget my past,

Dwelling on the things of eternity, for only those will last,

For Lord Your truth and promises, are now what I embrace,

Because they are the best way, to survive this human race,

Lord in my life it is Your will, that I readily accept,

And I believe it doesn't include my past, so I will only take forward steps.

Knowing my Role

Standing on a snow white beach, looking out across the mighty waves,

In my mind I am storing this scene, a wonderful memory to save,

I'm so thankful I can see and feel, smell, and also hear,

For all my senses tell me Lord, that You are very near,

There's something about being on a beach, all thoughts of my troubles cease,

And I am totally consumed, by an amazing, beautiful peace,

Lord it's like You have washed me out, just totally cleansed my mind,

I open my eyes and look around, and a little part of Heaven I find,

And even though me and this beach, were a thousand miles apart,

I will think about it every day, it holds a special place in my heart,

So my soul is warmed Lord and I seek Your will, for I want to know my role,

And as I stand within the power of Your creation, I know You are in control.

Staying and Praying

What a wakeup call, getting up early just to pray,

Then reading in the scriptures, seeking guidance for the day,

Becoming single minded, with Jesus on my mind,

Makes it easier to survive, throughout the daily grind,

For this world wants you to do things fast, always in a hurry,

And expectations are ever too high, filling all our lives with worry,

But in my relying on Jesus, I find all His truths and promises are true,

And in my believing He cares for birds and flowers, He must care for me too,

For in my past life filled with sinning, I now see my heart was hard and cold,

But Jesus made me brand new, He is the Savior of my soul,

So no matter what may threaten me, in His Way I am forever staying,

I will seek You Lord, and I will seek You diligently,

For to please and satisfy You, is how I want my life to be,

New Birth

I take in all this awesomeness, as I walk on the sun burned sand,

Soaking in the greatness, as the waves are stirred by God's strong hand,

I love just sitting on a beach, God's presence I can feel,

Looking at something that seems to have no end, I know that He is real,

And existing in His beautiful creation, how could I ever doubt?

That He is the maker of everything, so I seek what He is all about,

Knowing if He can make all this and more, beyond what my eyes can see,

He can touch this simple man, and change the heart in me,

So it was just a small step to believe, now He is my Savior and more,

And I never feel closer to Him, than when walking on a sandy shore,

So I am thankful for this little bit of Heaven, I can experience here on earth,

But it is nowhere near how grateful I am, for my wonderful new birth.

Determined

It is easy to get distracted, as we travel down this life's road,

And it's easy to get burdened, as we carry this life's load,

For the devil will do anything, to make us fail and sin,

To get us to think back to our past, the way our life had been,

And I personally disappoint myself often, forgetting I am set apart,

Giving in to the thoughts in my mind, not following my heart,

So I have to be aware constantly, never giving in,

To the things that this world has to offer, for most of it is sin,

Looking only to the good things, blessed by God above,

Realizing there is no better place to be, than walking in God's love,

Waking each morning being thankful, for another day,

Determined to let God lead me, in the narrow way.

Lord when I think of You, my heart is drawn to Yours,

For I know whatever my problem is, Lord You are the cure,

For it is not a matter of convenience, the things that concern You,

I did not get saved by my passing, any kind of test,

Lord You offered it freely, and You only give the best,

This glorious hope for my eternity, I have humbly received,

And all I did to accept it, is Lord in You believe,

At the mention of Your name Lord, I will always my hands raise,

Because forever is not long enough, to give You Lord all my praise.

Yet I believe God controls the timing, when He calls a loved one home,

Saved and Healed

Jesus came to heal me, save me, and prepare the Way,

For when I will enter into His eternal presence, oh what a glorious day,

There is no other way to Heaven, Jesus is the only one,

No one can ever accomplish, all that He has already done,

So I will honor Him with my life, with everything I own,

For no one else could redeem my soul, and for my sins atone,

Jesus paid the highest price, when He died on Calvary's cross,

Now in my believing in Him, I will not suffer eternal loss,

Oh what joy and peace I've found, in this salvation I've received,

In my faith I will be strong, not let the devil ever deceive,

For God is the same every day, and all His promises are real,

And through His Son, who died for me, I am saved and I am healed.

Divine Unity

Sharing the good news of salvation to everyone on earth,

This is the Christian's mission, so others have a chance to experience new birth,

So they can look forward to eternity, wrapped up in God's love,

That they can know there is a special place for them, in Heaven up above,

With Jesus as the head, and believers as the body whole,

The perfect unity that touches us, like worship music to the soul,

Our effectiveness is in our unity, our effort being all for one,

So much easier and better for us, to proclaim all Jesus has done,

To show the world how the Holy Spirit has worked, in each one of our hearts,

Faithful to each other through it all, as the devil tries to tear us apart,

This unity is something that in my human language, is hard to define,

So the best way I can describe it, is to just call it divine.

With Me Still

Sometimes the struggles of this earthly life, makes me want to give up,

Then I think about the wedding feast, from which one day I'll sup,

Waiting for me in Heaven, everything in its proper place,

Then I will forget all of my troubles, plaguing me in this human race,

For eternity holds things I can't imagine, beyond any worldly desire,

And just the thought of being in Jesus' presence, sets my soul on fire,

Worrying about things I can't control, fill my life with stress,

So I just give them to my Savior, knowing He is going to bless,

For the devil just wants to keep me flustered, so I will fall into sin,

But I will keep my faith and trust in Jesus, knowing that He always wins,

And giving up is not in the equation, not a part of God's will,

For through it all and whatever more, I know Jesus is with me still.

Lost in Jesus

Before I believed in Jesus, I was searching more and more,

Trying to find what my existence was for, the key to open my life's door,

And I enjoyed pleasure in worldly things, many things oh so wrong,

But the thrill I may have experienced, didn't last for very long,

If I continued in the direction I was going, I wouldn't survive the human race,

Then I discovered I hadn't looked, in what was the right place,

For nothing of this earth, can secure my eternity,

But salvation found in Jesus, bought for me on Calvary,

Now I have been recreated, and I am Heaven bound,

For I am now a believer, in God's Word the truth I've found,

Yes I wandered down many wrong roads, until You made my heart brand new,

But for me to truly be found Lord, I have to wholly be lost in You.

Eternity With Jesus

I am one member of the body of Christ, and then all of us are one,

United together through eternity, by our salvation in God's Son,

Headed to Heaven by the only way, our sins can be forgiven,

For I am walking the narrow road, at all cost avoiding the wide,

So beware of the devil and all his wiles, he will forever try to make us fall,

But he has no power over me, since I answered my Savior's call,

For I am a member of the body of Christ, I will never be cast out,

Surviving each day in this human body, of my faith I have no doubt,

So I will glory in living for my Lord, He is truly my delight,

Looking forward to ever being with Him, where His presence provides the light.

Oh to abide in the shadow, of the faithful holy One,

To earnestly seek only His will, so one day I'll hear Him say well done,

And to know that however good this life is, there is so much more,

Jesus is now preparing it, on that beautiful Heavenly shore,

What is awaiting me in eternity, when for the first time my Savior I see,

And at that moment I wonder, what I will do and say,

I know that through faith I will be prepared, because I'm growing every day,

Moving more toward the spiritual things, far away from where I had been,

Keeping my eyes on what's above, resisting the temptation of sin,

Thankful that Jesus never gave up on me, His loving salvation I know,

Now I can abide in a peaceful eternal hope, within His awesome shadow.

Thinking of You Mom

You know I miss you Mom, but you are in a much better place,

And I am very thankful for the time, that you ran the human race,

For you helped carry me through my rough times, by your prayers for me,

And you have helped shape me, into what I have come to be,

But Mom I sure miss the meatloaf, banana pudding, and lemon icebox pie,

Yet not having these things I put in my stomach, is not what brings tears to my eyes,

It's the memories of you, and all the good times that we shared,

Knowing that no one else in my life, like you for me has cared,

Now I know that you are looking down on me, from your new home up above,

And in the difficulties of surviving here, I still can feel your love,

But today when Moms are honored, thoughts of you have come my way,

So I send my love to Heaven, wishing you a happy Mother's Day.

His Feet

I think about the feet of Jesus, the ones that walked upon the waves,
The feet which walked the path to Calvary, so that I could be saved,
Oh the miles those feet surely walked, I never read if He had to run,
I anxiously await the moment, I bow at those feet worshiping God's Son,
Now I want to walk in the footprints, that His feet have trod,
For I know that this will keep me, in the presence of God,
The believer's life is a whole lot more, than just the Christian talk,
For the world is watching us closely, every step we walk,
And we really are the only sermon, that some will ever see or hear,
So we need to show them daily, they can live life without fear,
That they can know the nail scars, in His hands and feet are real,
And the salvation birthed on the cross, is saving souls still.

Lord I'm at peace and I'm grateful, for Your presence twenty four/seven, For it is an awesome feeling, knowing You're looking down on me from Heaven, And I realize You're keeping me from the evil one, as long as I am here, For You consider each and every soul, to be precious and so dear, But Lord some we are living with, have not accepted Your salvation, And I need to be a part here, of their having a spiritual revelation, For in my living a Christian life, I need to share the story oh so old, The one all about You Lord, and how You can save their soul, So they will understand, that Heaven and hell are very real, But Lord You are very patient, and they can make the right choice still, To change and become a believer, giving them a brand new start, So they can become a member of Your body, as You recreate their heart. Obeying

Lord may I never miss knowing, every time You prosper me, In the course of passing through my humanness, I have times I do not see, A blessing that You've bestowed, or a touch of Your mercy and grace, Or I may forget that Your presence, truly is a special place, And in the living of this earthly life, may I not get in such a rush, That I don't enjoy the little things, and then listen to the hush, For this world can push one to their limits, and it can get too loud, So Lord I need to slow down, and be more humble, and less proud, Because every day is the time, for me to seek and do Your will, Then in my obeying You Lord, I see Your promises become real, And I will never be surprised, when Your miracles occur, For Lord You are the cure for what ails me, and You want me to prosper. An Awesome Place

Oh to know I have a mansion in Heaven, on its mailbox is my name,
And if you are a believer, than you can expect the same,
For Jesus has prepared an awesome place, for me to spend eternity,

For I was hell-bent on my soul's destruction, until He called my name,
If I had not accepted Him, then only I would be to blame,
I am thankful for the wisdom, that I finally saw the light,
That drew me from the clutches, of sin's horrible night,
Now the devil cannot have me, though he tempts me every day,
For I will keep my faith in You Lord, read the Bible, and constantly pray,
Sharing what You've given me, the greatest love that is so true,
So they too can have that Heavenly mansion, if they believe in You.

Created to Worship

I was created to worship my Savior, and that is what I am going to do,
For He changed my heart when I believed on Him, when He made me brand new,
And my past is not worth remembering, not even a memory,
For I am walking on the narrow Way, toward my Heavenly eternity,

And dwelling in God's presence, is where I plan to stay,
For the world is far too dangerous, but in Jesus I am safe and secure,
The timeline of my human existence, He does help me endure,
But we do not need to miss the opportunity, to complete His will,
To share our salvation with others, who need to know that God is real,
So they get the opportunity, to meet the one who forgives sin,
Then they too will know the reason, why I worship Him.

Constantly Reminded

In my mind's eye I see Calvary's cross, but then there is that empty grave,
While wallowing in my sin I believed, and found Jesus is mighty to save,
There are things I've done in my past, that now God does not remember,
And today I am proud to say, of Christ's body I am a member,
For the sins of my whole lifetime, have all been washed as white as snow,
And God's will is what I want, to point my feet in the direction I need to go,
For within myself I made a mess of things, and did not do very well,
The lifestyle I had chosen, was leading me straight to hell,
But God did not give up on me, He saw a future I could not see,
Now I have chosen Him, and seek to be all He wants me to be,
I've found life is so much easier, when my thoughts are on things above,
And that cross that I can picture, constantly reminds me of God's love.

In His Brightness

God has drawn me to Himself from the darkness, which wanted to control,
My very being, and now He shines His beautiful light, into my very soul,

For I am constantly growing into a new being, since Jesus changed my heart,
In the Lamb's Book of Life my name is written, because of His blood,

I will not be religiously minded, but will have a kingdom mind,
And I will study in God's Word, so His will for my life I can find,
In the light of my Savior's presence, there is no place the darkness can hide,
And the devil cannot touch me, if in the brightness of God's glory I abide.

Just For Now

Although my mind is telling me I'm young, I can tell my body is wearing out,
But one day I will step out of this flesh, into a new body there is no doubt,
For I believe the promises of God, because they never fail,
I've accepted the salvation of my Savior, so I don't worry about hell,
And when I enter eternity one day, and see Jesus face to face,
It will be all about Him, and I will forget about this earthly place,
The good things that I have experienced here, thinking I was having a blast,
Are nothing in the eternal, and I find God saved the best for last,
And any day now God could send Jesus here, to call His children to Him,
We'll be gone in the twinkling of an eye, faster than He forgave our sins,
But for now to be exactly in God's will, is my daily goal,
For the only reason I want linger here, is to help God save more souls.

By A Simple Faith

As the ruler of this earth looks all around, seeking whom he may devour,
I find security in my faith in God, He is ever my strong tower,
The devil is persistent, wanting to draw me into his night,
But I keep my eyes on Jesus, He is my never failing light,
And when Satan tries to ruin my life, sending his evil full of wrath,
I ignore the pressures of sin, and keep my feet on the narrow path,
For I've tried the pleasures of this world, they will leave you empty still,
But I heard Jesus calling to me, from the cross on Calvary's hill,
And through a simple prayer to Him, I truly came to believe,
He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, His salvation I receive,
Now in His presence I will dwell, and from it I will not depart,
For each day I am learning more and more, my Lord loves me with all His heart.

I entered into Your kingdom Lord, when I experienced a spiritual birth,
And though I am possessed by this human flesh, as long as I am on earth,
I choose life led by You in the Spirit, until I see You face to face,
For I know I will do something special, while I am in this place,
And I'm striving to learn more about You, all of it I do want to know,
So I can be the part You want me to be, of helping Your kingdom grow,
I want to live in the miraculous, beyond what I can comprehend,
For who knows the scope of eternity, and Your kingdom which will never end?
Only You Lord can ever explain it, as just a glimpse of it now I can see,
But one day when I enter Your presence, it will all be clear to me,
When I accepted You Lord as my Savior, choosing to walk the narrow Way,
I know that You are eternal, and that Your kingdom is here to stay.

Lord may Your kingdom and peace, ever and always increase,
For we know that Your kingdom is here to stay, it will never cease,
And to ever seek to do Your will, this is my life choice,

For in my journey on the narrow way, I will never have any regrets,
I know the kingdom started as a tiny mustard seed, that one could barely see,
But now the birds build their nests there, as it has become a giant tree,
John preached Your kingdom is at hand, everywhere he walked,
And Jesus spoke parables saying what the kingdom is like, whenever He talked,
So my knowing about Your Heavenly kingdom, is cause for good cheer,
But one of the greatest lessons I have learned, is that Your kingdom is here.

Forever Endure

As I walk along the narrow way, the devil slings mud so I will slip,
But I just fall down on my knees, at times like this I will worship,
To keep my mind on Jesus, so single minded I will be,
I refuse to turn back to my past, when the devil blinded me,
For Jesus preached repent, for the kingdom of Heaven is at hand,
Now it dwells inside of me, and on my faith I surely stand,
I seek to labor as God wants, so the lost are saved, the sick are healed,
To proclaim there is more after this earthly life, for eternity is real,
Heaven and hell are the final destinations, I pray you choose life today,
I hope to influence you, by how I live and what I say,
So your eternal life will be with Jesus, in Him you can ever be secure,
And His is the only salvation, and His will forever endure.

Eternal Victory

I was fighting the battle by myself, chose to go it all alone,
But I found it was a losing effort, even the weapons I used were wrong,
For the fight wasn't in the flesh, but was with spiritual beings,
And the war raged in my mind, not with something I was seeing,
It is a continuous struggle, that goes on day to day,
Standing up on my own against it, still it won't go away,
But I found a Savior in Jesus, and I called out to Him,
Then He came into my life, and forgave me of my sins,
And I put on His whole armor, so that I would be strong,
So I can stand against the temptations, of those who want me to do wrong,
Now the devil will always come after me, but I will not be swayed,
Into getting back on that broad road to hell, instead I choose the narrow way.

Getting Wet

The inside of the pipe always gets wet, every time the water passes through,
As our lives are changed by the love of God, running in me and you,
For salvation is a dynamic force, given like a gentle touch,
Now to be exactly in God's will, is what I want so much,
But the road to hell I once was on, is broad and still full of the lost,
We need to reach out and turn them around, show them what eternity cost,
For Jesus paid the ultimate price, His life He freely gave,
So all can have eternal life with Him, truly Jesus will save,
Yet how will they know if we don't tell them, it's our purpose to reach out,
For without Jesus there is a bad ending, of this there is no doubt,
God's love which is always flowing through us, needs to be shared every day,
So the lost ones have the chance to change course, and find the narrow way.

Which Part?

Life is not like a transmission, that you can shift out of gear,
We're either part of the problem or the solution, while we are living here,
And our part of the will of God, will never get done,
If we are doing anything, that does not glorify His Son,
Now everything that happens on earth, is not in God's will,
For that old devil Satan, has a lot of influence still,
But our Savior Jesus has overcome, anything he tries to do,
Yet our life as believers, is more than just sitting in a pew,
If we don't share our faith, how will this world ever hear?
That there is hope and peace, they don't have to live in fear,
And Jesus surely can change their hearts, just like He did for me,
So are we part of the problem or solution, as we rush toward eternity?

Until Then

I praise God every day, for only He knows how my earthly calendar is dated,
So I will constantly strive, to accomplish the purpose for which I was created,
For God has a special plan for me, that no one else can do,
And He has plans for everyone, His promises are always true,

Knowing that the devil can never change, what I have come to believe,
Now every day this world's temptations, are bombarding me,
But they have no power over me, because Jesus has set me free,
The Holy Spirit guides me, and God's love fills my heart,
And everything I need in life, God on me does impart,
My desire is to hear well done, when I see Jesus face to face,
So I will ever seek to please Him, until I reach that place.

God Holds My Eternity

I am sitting in my easy chair, watching the lightning flash,
Also there is a lot of noise, as I hear the thunder crash,
But my soul is at peace, as the big storms start to roll,
For I know whatever may happen, God is in control,
So I just relax knowing that to worry, is almost like a crime,
Because my faith is strong, and my Jesus is with me all the time,
So I will trust Him in everything, whatever in this life I may face,
I believe He still has something for me to do, before I end this human race,
The power in some of these storms, is really spectacular,
And here in Alabama, there is no telling when they may occur,
But my God is more powerful, and He holds my eternity,
And through the storms of life I know, that He really loves me.

For myself I am choosing Jesus, not the darkness of the night,
In my living for You Lord, I see everything in a different light,
For when I accepted Jesus into my life, my heart was truly changed,

Now I pray that I can become, all that He wants me to be,
Becoming strong enough in my faith, that I can resist the temptation of sin,
And living my life within His will, putting all my trust in Him,
Surviving on this earth is too treacherous, to stray off of the Way,
That God has prepared for me, Jesus could return even today,
For I hope to see changed hearts, as I prepare for my eternity,
Because I only want others, to see my Savior, Jesus, in me.

Oh Lord may I not waste my life, in search of worldly pleasures,
But seek instead to dwell in Your presence, where blessings are beyond measure,

I haven't seen the purple ones, but I've seen the Smoky Mountains majesty,
Just a small part of creation, that shows me God is molding my destiny,

To watch the golden eagle take off, soaring up in flight,
A miracle to me, just as God hung the moon up in the night,
And seeing the stars surrounding it, twinkling at me,
Just to think that beyond all of it, awaits my eternity,
And what if I only get to see, just a little of God's creation,
It moves me just like His Word does, from Genesis to Revelation,
As I look around in my world, seeing all the marvels God has done,
It is nothing compared to the salvation, that is found in His Son.

Eternity is Waiting

In studying Your Word Lord, there is so much knowledge I can find,
Within the sanctuary, I love worshipping with people of the same mind,
And I don't need a preacher telling me, what I don't need to do,
I need to learn the answer Lord, to what really pleases You,
For I am seeking every day, for the truth so I will grow,
Into the way You desire Lord, so only Your will I can know,
So I will be strong in resisting temptation, so I will not fall,
But I will be listening for that still small voice, every time You call,
For I want to accomplish all You goals for me, as I run this human race,
Knowing always that time is short, and none I need to waste,
Eternity is waiting Lord, and I pray that I never fail,
To show any the way to Your salvation, so they don't go to hell.

For Eternity

As I think about my life, I realize how much mercy God shows me,
And I am thankful for His mighty love, that spans all eternity,
I would not be where I am today, but for His wonderful grace,
His sacrifice for my salvation, promises He has for me a special place,
All the beautiful things I enjoy on earth, are nothing compared to what I'll see,
In Heaven oh so magnificent, what glory that will be,
And there will only be good things there, no sin, no sorrow, no pain,
By believing in Jesus as my Savior, living in His presence I attain,
So I will not worry about anything, this earthly life may bring,
For He has given me an eternal hope, to it I faithfully cling,
Now I seek to live each moment, walking in His will and way,
Spreading the gospel message, until Jesus calls home one day.

He Loves Me More

Each moment that we are awake, constant thoughts through our minds flow,
No matter whether they are good or bad, remember our God knows,
And however we respond to these thoughts, we are free to choose,
Yes we make the final decision, on whether we win or lose,
Personally I have made many bad choices, as I traveled the wrong road,
And in the search for earthly pleasures, I found it was a heavy load,
But in my darkest hour, I looked and saw a glorious light,
It filled my heart with hope, and drew me out of the devil's night,
This light, my salvation, was Jesus, He rescued me from a sinner's hell,
Reaching out He drew me to Him, pulled me from Satan's trap where I had fell,
I have learned through my God's promises, that I have been set free,
And I find out more and more each day, just how much Jesus loves me.

Cradled in His Love

I wake up every morning knowing You will handle whatever the devil brings,
For I am cradled in Your love Lord, and to You I faithfully cling,
And in the face of any adversity, I have peace and will not fear,
For I can feel the power of Your presence, sensing that You are near,
Oh Lord I will be eternally grateful, for the salvation I possess,
And I will spread the message, of how I am truly blessed,
So all can see You in me Lord, in every step that I am walking,
Through my heart I will only speak good things in the words that I am talking,
As I come before You Lord, all I can do is humbly kneel,
And pray I receive more knowledge, of Your Way and of Your will,
And never leave out anything, that You would have me do,
Then spend an eternity just letting You know, how much I love You.

Thankful

Lord I have a thankful heart, for You sustain me through my earthly dealings,
Just as I believe You for my salvation, that also includes my healing,
And I cannot find either one, by looking at any other,
But just like You I can pray for the sick, and expect them to recover,
For just like in the Bible, today God's power is the same,
And miracles can still occur, by our calling on Jesus' name,
I guess we're too interested in living here, and trying to please man,
Instead of seeking the will of God, and fulfilling His master plan,
So Lord help me to be faithful, and resist the temptation of sin,
For death and hell I left behind, Jesus saved me from what I had been,
Now favor and blessings rain down on me, much more than I deserve,
That is why Lord I will follow You, and only You will I serve.

Redeemed

Lord I pray when I reach Heaven, there will be treasures stored,
And I can thank you personally, for all the blessings on me You poured,
For nothing here on this earth Lord, is worth my missing You,
The one who touched my life, and made me become brand new,
You removed all of the evil in me, and made my soul sparkling clean,
And in my accepting You as Savior, I have truly been redeemed,
So may all of my humanness be removed, so I can just You praise,
Staying on the straight and narrow way, all of my earthly days,
Hallelujah for this spiritual change, that Jesus made in me,
Saving me from a forever hell, so I can be with Him in eternity,
Never looking back or going back, to the ugliness my life had been,
For there are no treasures stored, in any of this world's sins.

It's All About His Love

As I sit and ponder over this day, when we all celebrate love,
I know the creator of love, is God Almighty in Heaven above,
And His love is the greatest love, that this world will ever see,
For when I was lost His love reached out, and truly rescued me,
Now it's great that a man and woman, have a love to share,
And no matter what love it is good to know, there is someone who cares,
But I have experienced a supernatural love, that holds eternity,
One that took me from the bondage of sin, and from those shackles set me free,
Though many have loved and lost, let us forget the sorrows past,
And relish in God's love, one that will never diminish and will always last,
Through the ages His love has been tried and tested, and found to be true,
And in the love remembered on Valentine's Day, know He is saying, I love you.

In His Glory

God wants full custody of you, not just weekend visitations,
To give you not just a touch of glory, but the full manifestation,
For He loves you so much more, than you will ever know,
And He is striving every day, this love for you to show,
For He is the definition of mercy, and He created grace,
Heaven awaits the believer, oh it is a special place,
And I'm not rushing my demise, but I will exalt in the day,
When I enter into God's presence, and fall on my knees to say,
Everything that I feel for Him, that has been filling up my heart,
Since He saved my soul, giving me a brand new start,
The greatest thing that anyone, has every done for me,
To know one day I will be able to bask, in His glory eternally.

Bombarded, But Guarded

As the devil is bombarding me, I believe I must be living right,
For Satan continues trying constantly, to drag me back into his night,
Because he wants to taint and diminish, any good thing I might do,
But Lord he can not steal my faith, my ever living life for You,
For I have truly seen the miraculous, truly transform me,
Nothing the devil does, can change me back to how I used to be,
I've found salvation Lord in You, you suffered and for my sins You died,
So now I chose the only Way, in Your will I will abide,
Lord physically and spiritually strengthen me, so I survive this human race,
For I know Lord that You are with me, no matter what I face,
Now whatever the temptation, however much by Satan I'm bombarded,
Lord in You I find security, and in Your love my soul is ever guarded.

By Him Forgiven

Wherever you are in life, you are never beyond the reach of God's forgiveness,
And that surely is not something, that one should choose to miss,
For the choice truly always is, a critical eternal decision,
And I pray that one would not, let the devil cloud their spiritual vision,
Lord You give everlasting life, to anyone who believes in You,
For only You can take a ruined heart, and make it become brand new,
Accepting You Lord as my Savior, is the decision I have made,
Recognizing You as the perfect sacrifice, the price for my sins paid,
Thank You Lord for Calvary, and everything else that You have done,
For it is only through You, that life's real victories are won,
May I reflect Your holy righteousness, in the way That I am living,
For it is only by Your mercy Lord, that I have been forgiven.

Living My Faith

Lord as I live my life of faith, may I be courageous and be brave,
For You have delivered me from the evil one, who to my sin made me a slave,
No other is my salvation, and no other could set me free,
From my blindness in the spiritual, in Your truth I can now see,
For eternal death awaited me, at the end of the road that I was walking,
And I spoke more negative than positive, in the words that I was talking,
But I've found life is better Lord, when I live it for You,
By seeking Your will before anything, that I say or do,
Seeking Heavenly rewards, in everything that I sow and reap,
Always expecting the miraculous, by Your promises that You keep,
Now Lord I will be faithful, and will be courageous and be brave,
Ever sharing You love with everyone, for Lord You are mighty to save.

Love on a Cross

I think of You Lord hanging on the cross, a crown of thorns piercing Your brow,
Your blood screams out Your love for me, and all I can say is wow,
So in my gratitude for salvation, I give You all of my attention,
And I know that in any situation, I can expect Your divine intervention,
For I know Lord that in Your blessing, You only give the best,
My mind is at peace and I dwell in Your arms, and You I will profess,
Your presence motivates me into living, all of my life for You,
I know my eternity is with You, as sure as the sky is blue,
The uncertainty of tomorrow, I do not have to fear,
For I believe that through the valleys and on the hilltops, You are ever near,
May I be used by You Lord, so not one second is wasted or lost,
In proclaiming the message of salvation, birthed on Calvary's cross.

The Good Seed

Lord the decision from my heart is, that it is Your will I choose,
May I be purified and sanctified, a chosen vessel You can use,
May my words and actions deny what is evil, showing only what is good,
So I will be the witness for You Lord, that I really should,
For You have given me a salvation, that totally changed my heart,
And cleansed me from all my sinfulness, giving me a brand new start,
Your love overflowing in me, is meant for me to always share,
For I am the instrument that You use, so everyone knows how much You care,
Because if I wait for this world to show them, then they will never know,
It is up to all of us believers, to steer them to where they need to go,
Now may I never cultivate anything in life, that grows a bunch of weeds,
But Lord may my life only plant, God's wonderful salvation seeds.

No Crying

One day in Heaven I won't cry, but I will surely cry out,
Lord I know You hear my silent prayers, but I believe that I will shout,
And eternity won't be long enough, for me to give You praise,
But I promise You my arms won't get tired, as my hands to You I raise,
And I'll bow humbly in total gratitude, at the foot of Your throne,
Any thought of all my past sins, I find they are truly gone,
Also I find I have been washed, so much whiter than any snow,
And it's all because the way to salvation, one day I came to know,
In accepting You as my Savior, my life was filled with many good things,
I look forward to standing with the angels, and just for You we'll sing,
So I'll serve the sentence of earthly existence, and do it without fear,
For I know one day in Heaven, there won't be any tears.

Never Late

Although this earthly existence, is not always that great,
I will wait patiently for You Lord, for You are never late,
And I will let You shape me, into what You want me to be,
Always with my eyes open, so my eternity I can see,
For I was truly blinded before, living in a constant sinful state,
Not even knowing or caring, that hell would be my final fate,
Until one day I realized, what Your cross was all about,
And I accepted Your salvation Lord, I'm set free without a doubt,
Now my daily living revolves, around seeking and doing Your will,
Recognizing Your greatness, and before You I humbly kneel,
To bless You and to praise You Lord, my passion for You is like a fire,
Burning always within me, a never ending, wonderful desire.

To Know Him More

Sitting in the sanctuary, praising and worshipping to start out the new year,
There is no better place for me to be, after all the Christmas cheer,
For today as every day, I choose to seek my Savior's will,
Because mine is not sufficient, but His is constant still,
Through forever all He promises, will always remain the same,
And He is salvation's only way, I bow down humbly calling His name,
For through a sinful man's life's journey, I was walking on the wrong side,
But Jesus changed my heart, so now only in His presence will I abide,
And making yearly resolutions, is not the way I want to grow,
Just more wisdom and knowledge of Him, is what I need to know,
So hallelujah for my surviving another year, I am a thankful man,
But I eagerly look forward to this new one, and seeing all that God has planned.
