Even One Step

In my life I will never look back, because I am not going that way,

And if I only take one step forward, then I will take it every day,

Life is too short for me to worry any, about where I have been,

But I know it is a place to avoid, for it is filled with sin,

Still the devil is ever after me, trying to get me to return,

Yet I have found a better way, Lord it is for You that my heart yearns,

Now is the moment that matters, I just need to forget my past,

Dwelling on the things of eternity, for only those will last,

For Lord Your truth and promises, are now what I embrace,

Because they are the best way, to survive this human race,

Lord in my life it is Your will, that I readily accept,

And I believe it doesn't include my past, so I will only take forward steps.
