Thinking of You Mom

You know I miss you Mom, but you are in a much better place,

And I am very thankful for the time, that you ran the human race,

For you helped carry me through my rough times, by your prayers for me,

And you have helped shape me, into what I have come to be,

But Mom I sure miss the meatloaf, banana pudding, and lemon icebox pie,

Yet not having these things I put in my stomach, is not what brings tears to my eyes,

It's the memories of you, and all the good times that we shared,

Knowing that no one else in my life, like you for me has cared,

Now I know that you are looking down on me, from your new home up above,

And in the difficulties of surviving here, I still can feel your love,

But today when Moms are honored, thoughts of you have come my way,

So I send my love to Heaven, wishing you a happy Mother's Day.
