Every Step

Lord may Your Word be my road map, as I take this human trip,
That even through the treacherous places, my faith will never slip,
For in the physical I am not promised, even one more day,
But in the spiritual I have eternity, as I travel in Your Way,
For before I came to know You Lord, I wallowed in an earthly ditch,
But since I accepted You as my Savior, I am in all things rich,
In my abiding in Your presence, I never will be poor,
Yet in my reading the Bible Lord, I long to know You more,
Because in every area of my life, I want You Lord to be real,
For I am constantly failing, if I move outside Your will,
So my eternal decision, as Your salvation I accept,
Is to hold onto You and let You guide me, each and every step.
