Single and Pure

Lord may my mind be single and pure, free from all the worldly clutter,
So I can be in Your will and way, not fall into the proverbial gutter,
To help me just survive day by day, may my thoughts only be of You,
For Lord You are the only truth, as sure as the sky is blue,
The beauty all around me, reminds me of all my creator has made,
And I love Him with a passion, and that love will never fade,
But my love it is like nothing, compared with the love He has for me,
For that love sent my Lord to a cross, where He died to set me free,
The beginning of a plan, that has changed me eternally,
When I accepted Him as my Savior, when I first said I believe,
But I know the devil will still trouble me, of this I am very sure,
So for me to be able to resist him, Lord may my mind be single and pure.
