Not Quitting

Lord as I run the race before me, there are many who want to quit,
I have chosen to run until I win the prize, to Your will I submit,
For humanity is very hard for some people, to even understand,
And the daily experience placed before them, has too many demands,
But Lord I am at peace, for I have chosen the better part,
To let You guide my steps, to let Your love fill my heart,
And when I look at Your cross Lord, I know I am a winner,
For You are the only one, who could or would change this dying sinner,
You accepted me Lord when I didn't feel, like I even had a friend,
And it is on this relationship, that I totally depend,
In my existence You've made the difference, in this eternity that is mine,
And Lord on this side of Heaven or not, I know You're at my finish line.
