My American Dream

I think most of us in the USA, pursue the American dream,
But for those of us who find it, it's not all that it seems,
For life is really a whole lot more, than just fortune and fame,
Cause there is one who can change your life, so that it never is the same,
And His prosperity, will last for all eternity,
After finding Him you won't even think, about how you used to be,
For you will look to the future, forget all your bad past,
We all need to be living for, something that will last,
And Jesus is the answer, praise God for my salvation,
I am believing in Him more each day, we have a personal relation,
By doing His will I am avoiding, all the devil's schemes,
And in living for my Jesus, I am fulfilling my American dream.

A Better Life

Lord I pray You would forgive me, for my many transgressions,
But I'm thankful You don't ever tire, though I'm always making confessions,
Though I try to live the right way, sometimes the old me comes out,
I stumble but I still constantly seek You, I'm Yours without a doubt,
And I hope my life reflects, how You want me to live,
For I want to be totally Yours, all of me to You I give,
So many years I've wasted, thinking I was having fun,
When I heard eternity hung in the balance, then I learned about God's Son,
I found that His salvation, would fill my greatest need,
So I looked to Jesus, turned away from the evil that sin breeds,
God's grace, mercy, and favor, makes my future look real bright,
And I've found my life is so much better, since I'm walking in God's light.

Point to Him

In the matters of my faith, I am unashamed,
And I want to proclaim the reason, why my Jesus came,
He came to this earth as a baby, was in a lowly stable born,
And He was nailed naked to a rugged cross, after wearing a crown of thorns,
But in between these two events, no greater life has been lived,
For He came to spiritually save lives, His plan of salvation to give,
The Bible is full of many things Jesus did, but many more were done,
And the cross shows all of us, that the victory over Satan is won,
Yes I love reading about Jesus, of His miracles and teachings,
Today we should be using them, so a lost world we are reaching,
For who else is going to tell them, there's one to save them from their sins?
And that the only answer is Jesus, we need to always point them to Him.

A Happy Soul

Lord may I wake each morning, with a happy soul,
For me to be in Your perfect will, is my daily goal,
And a happy soul should always, give me a happy face,
Cause I feel Your Spirit Lord, moving within this place,
Now my happy face should have, a smile that's a mile wide,
For safely in Your presence Lord, is where I now abide,
And my happy smile should help me, my God's love to show,
So others will want this happiness, and my God come to know,
And so you will find salvation, I kneel down to God and pray,
Then when you do, each morning, you too can start a happy day,
True happiness is found, when I let my God have control,
For He is the amazing reason, why I have a happy soul.

The Way I'm Living

Jesus is the Way, the Truth, the Life, and He is my friend,
And I will always follow Him, knowing with Him there is no end,
When His people thought Him a rebel, starting a revolution,
He was actually trying to show them, His salvation is the only solution,
And His saving my soul will always be, a miracle to me,
For with Jesus there is always, the probability of an impossibility,
The Bible is full of promises, all of them God fulfilled,
And an abundance of blessings are ours, as we seek to do His will,
May all praise, honor, and glory, go to God for all He's done,
Especially for the sacrifice of Jesus, His only Son,
Now nothing can separate me from the love that He is ever giving,
So I will show my love to Him, by the way I go about my living.

He Chose You

Jesus could have been a rebel, and started a revolution,
But this was not God's will, and certainly not His solution,
Jesus could have been a teacher, and offered us much learning,
But this was not the calling, for which His heart was yearning,
Jesus chose to be a Savior, to seek and save the lost,
And the results of this decision, came at an extreme cost,
Though He could have called thousands of angels, to rescue Him that day,
His choice was to hang on a cross, the price of our sins to pay,
Jesus was the perfect lamb, the ultimate sacrifice was slain,
And for all the wrong I've done, He took all the blame,
Our choices, eternal life or eternal death, we choose to win or lose,
Two roads lead to eternity, Heaven or hell, which do you choose?

Get It Done

So many times we struggle, in school, at work, or in the life games we play,
I know personally I have to lean on Jesus, just to make it through some days,
And I pray that you will do the same, if things get a little tough,
For Jesus will smooth things over, so they are not so rough,
In Him there is always hope, and His love will see us through,
And if we remain faithful, He will guide us in all we do,
The devil just wants to deceive us, and tell us a bunch of lies,
Believers will be hounded by him, until the day we die,
But I don't have to fear, because my Redeemer lives,
And I cannot begin to count, all the blessings that He gives,
So when the burdens of life seem too heavy, I just look up to God's Son,
Because as long as He is helping me, we can get it done.

Loving Everyday

Lord I set myself aside, and bow down before Your throne,
Knowing I am washed clean in Your blood, and all my sins are gone,
For only You are worthy, and that will remain the same throughout
eternity,
Lord make my life be what You want, not what I want it to be,
For when I tried to run my life, I was headed straight for hell,
I learned You were nailed on a cross for me, and I was why Your blood
fell,
But You forgave me anyway, even after all that I had done,
That is why it is to Your mercy seat, that I will always run,
How could I not love You Lord, after You've given me Your love?
Love not found on this earth, but birthed in Heaven above,
Yet You put Your love in my heart, and You want me to give it all away,
So I will trust You Lord, knowing You will put that love back in me
every day.

All I Need

My salvation is from You oh Lord, You are my strength in times of trouble,
I am so thankful for this because, Satan wants my troubles doubled,
But I will stand firm in my faith, I'll be courageous and I'll be strong,
For in times of my temptations, Lord You keep me from doing wrong,
I am saved and sanctified, covered by Your holy blood,
And I love being in Your presence, when it comes in like a flood,
May I use all of the talents, that You've freely given me,
So I lead others to You, so they are from their sins set free,
I pray I live my life, so Your love will always show,
Because love is the key ingredient, through it You they will want to know,
I am growing and being nurtured, as on Your Word I daily feed,
For I have found and want to share it, You Lord are all I need.

More Saved Souls

I need every day of my life Lord, to feel Your special touch,
To know I walk within Your love, it will never be too much,
And when I'm in Your presence, I want to spend most of that time kneeling,
For when I am with You, it surely is a special feeling,
To see You heal a broken heart, that is truly great,
I just pray I reach more of the lost, before it is too late,
Yes I know I will live with You, for all of eternity,
I want to plant the seeds to change lives, so I can take many there with me,
So come fertilize and water Lord, all the seeds I plant for You,
For there are many in this world, that need to be made brand new,
Help me always humble myself to You, my life clay for You to mold,
And help me remember my ultimate goal, is always more saved souls.

You Gave the Best

For all that You have done Lord, it is You that I will bless,
You heard my cry when I called on You, when I came humbly to confess,
I was a lonely sinner, headed straight for a sinner's hell,
But You saved me to a new life, now this story I will tell,
For no one else has the power, so they can save a soul,
Since You Lord have saved mine, take it, You're in control,
And for this gift of Your salvation, how can I ever repay,
Other than to live my life for You Lord, each and every day,
To show others there is a better way, and tell them about You,
So they too can be saved, and their heart be made brand new,
Now this is why I praise You Lord, for all that You have done,
Because You did not spare the best, but gave me Your only Son.

To Testify

I will testify of Your greatness Lord, and all You mean to me,
The lame can walk, the mute can speak, and the blind can now see,
Of all the miracles Lord, that You were able to do,
You said I'd be able to do them, and greater than these too,
To use the measure of faith given me, and always to believe,
Then there's no telling what I'll see, what blessings I'll receive,
For You are ever faithful, and all Your promises are true,
We should always reflect this Lord, so when others look at us they'll see You,
Your majesty is something, that all the words ever known can never define,
And as hard as I may try Lord, I will keep it simple and just call You mine,
It is good to just be thankful, for all that You have done,
So I will seek You more and share You Jesus, God's wonderful and loving Son.

A Holy Calling

God calls me with a holy calling, and it's not according to anything I've done,
For it is by God's wonderful grace, that my victory has been won,
May I never question whether I have faith, because I know I do,
I just need to use it more, as everyone who has it, needs to use it too,
For we weren't called to just sit in a pew, and not do anything,
Or to just listen to the pastor, and what the choir has to sing,
God wants us to help change our world, to reach out to the lost,
Cause if we don't we minimize, what our salvation cost,
For Jesus paid this price, oh and this price was very dear,
And just thinking about this Lord, I feel that You are so very near,
Now I will not fail my Savior, by something done or by omission,
But I will do my very best, to live the great commission.

Happy Anniversary Ginger and Vaughn

To a couple of folks who have become, pretty good friends,
Happy Anniversary to you two, is the message that I now send,
I pray that you will celebrate, oh so many more,
And I know that you will be amazed, when God opens the next door,
Just keep seeking Him, and letting Him always show you the way,
And I know that your love for each other, will grow stronger every day,
For life is way too short, to worry over the little things,
Just look toward the positive, and all the good things that it brings,

Happy Anniversary Tom and Ellen

Sometimes it's hard to figure out, just what triggers this thing called love,
But I believe that true love, is sent from God above,
And when I look at Tom and Ellen Jones, I see a love that's real,
After all of these many years, they are in true love still,
I really think their love has lasted, because God played a part,
And believing in the two becoming one, surely lives in their hearts,
As they seek God's will in their lives, He is using them each day,
To show others by their example, that life is good when lived God's way,
And they really like to share this love, that God has given them,
To point others toward the truth, that salvation is in Him,
You'll have to look real hard to find, a better dad and mom,

Sweet Beach

The beach, a wonderful place to be, hot sand beneath my feet,
The waves constantly rolling in, a scene that's hard to beat,
The sea gulls crying out to me, like music to my ears,
The natural music God gives us, sounds that I love to hear,
The breeze brings the smell of salt in the air, gently to my nose,
What a funny feeling as the waves, suck the sand out from under my toes,
I can almost sense my skin turning brown, as I lay out in the sun,
And just sitting around taking it all in, is really a lot of fun,
Watching a sunrise or a sunset here, is truly an awesome sight,
There is nothing like walking on the beach, as the moon fills up the night,
Being here makes me think of Heaven, and God seems just in reach,
For there will never be anything to compare, to my time at the beach.

Biblical Lessons

Lord as to the Biblical lesson, of turning the other cheek,
I have always had a problem, with my in any way being meek,
But as I have been learning more Lord, about what Your Word has to say,
I am learning to be humble, a little more every day,
And my temper is much more even, since I've let You take control,
Now there is no way that the devil, can ever steal my soul,
To wake up seeking Your will Lord, is easier each day to do,
For my life is not worth anything, if I don't live it all for You,
I am much stronger than the temptations, of my old desires of yesterday,
Because Jesus dying for me on a cross, washed all my sins away,
Today I am growing daily, accepting all Your Biblical lessons,
And I am living right in the middle of, all of Your divine blessings.

Through His Eyes

Lord let me live my life, like I am looking through Your eyes,
For all I gain in this life, eternal life with You is the grand prize,
My life is not worth anything, if I don't live it for You,
Now Lord in all my undertakings, let me to You be faithful and true,
I humble myself before You, and want You to be my master,
For You have pulled me out of the fire, when I was headed for disaster,
Give more me wisdom, so I can apply Your knowledge to my life every day,
Help me not be selfish with Your love, for You want me to give it away,
For sharing and caring for others, is a part of righteousness,
In my doing this to everyone, Lord I know You will truly bless,
I now bow down before You, understanding how Solomon became so wise,
Because I can see the plan You have for me, so much better through Your eyes.

The Main Thing

Lord my heart is full, because I know that Your love is not rationed,
And my spirit is lifted up, as Your fill my soul with passion,
Give me the strength to walk each day, where You would have me walk,
And may everyone know that I am Yours, just by the way I talk,
Your righteousness is ever present, for me to use as my daily guide,
It leads me on the straight and narrow road, away from the one that's wide,
For Satan wants me to falter, and he would lead me astray,
But I am ever protected, by the blood of Jesus every day,
The devil will continue to attack me, until his time he will keep trying,
But I just need to be smart enough, to know that Satan is always lying,
May Your wisdom and knowledge be in my learning, always the main thing,
As I praise and worship You Jesus, my Savior and my King.

The Bottom Line

We seek God in the sanctuary, but usually it’s somewhere else through prayer,
For in our times of trouble, it seems necessary for us to know God cares,
We look to God for hope, when there’s nowhere else hope can be found,
How quickly we forget God’s promises, and fear again has us bound,
Because we want God to change things, to make the bad stuff go away,
When we really can walk on His divine path, every single day,
We want to have a pity party, and in our sorrows wallow,
Yet the Bible is full of directions, simple steps for us to follow,
We really need to be reaching out to others, and showing them that God is real,
That He is calling them to salvation, that He loves them still,
For as good as the wedding miracle was, where Jesus changed the water into wine,
The greatest miracle of all is seeing a soul saved, and that my friend is the bottom line.

I'll Be Back Soon

The last day here and now it's time, to leave all of this beauty,
But after several days of fun and rest, I must resume normal life duties,
Yet I will return here as soon as I can, this place just seems to call me,
For there is none other as wonderful, that sets my spirit free,
I know it is a romantic place, but I seek a different kind of love,
One that is superior to everything, sent from God above,
For as much as I love visiting the beach, I love Him so much more,
But I am still very thankful for, all the time spent on this shore,
It just seems that God's very presence, is so much stronger here,
And I don't think I've ever known Him, to be lingering so near,
But I will just cherish the memories, my time here has been a blast,
And I promise you that this trip, will not be my last.

Heavenly Thoughts

There is a place I've read about, but I have never been,
But how wonderful and beautiful it is, I can only imagine,
Pearly gates, the streets of gold, and the crystal sea, appeal to me,
And I am real sure that one day, it's a place I'm going to see,
Loved ones still living in my heart, family and friends waiting for me there,
Wanting to take me all over Heaven, with glorious stories they want to share,
Especially talking of Heaven, an indescribable place,
For it's there we will see Jesus, and can praise Him face to face,
I know with the loss of loved ones, it's hard to make the pain go away,
But in Heaven there are just tears of joy, and laughing everyday,
An awesome eternal revival, is what we can look forward to,
And Jesus has built you a mansion there, and He made it just for you.

Worship by the Sea

I watched the dolphins playing, well actually eating fish,
And to have a longer vacation, would be my ultimate wish,
The ocean is like a sheet of glass, hardly any waves at all,
It is so quiet and no breeze blowing, you can hear the sea gulls call,
Peace, joy, and love fill my soul, just by being here,
Leaving all the cares and worries of life behind, and sensing God is near,
This special place reminds me, Jesus also loves the sea,
And His love paid for my salvation, and truly set me free,
This scene before me, God created, reminds me that I too am wonderfully made,
And I'm amazed by this creation, that I can step into and wade,
I thank You God for this opportunity, that You've given me,
It is truly a worship experience, walking with You by the sea.

Hold on to Him

I can't imagine what you're going through, because I've never been there,
Yet I hope that you can feel our prayers, and know lots of people care,
But for your heartache, there's just not going to be an easy cure,
Still I hope that you can lean on God, He will help you to endure,
I pray that He will bring His peace, and you'll find comfort in your soul,
And that you will feel God's presence, and that your hand He'll hold,
Just remember the good things, about your loved one from the past,
I pray you can forget the bad times, and that only the good memories last,
For He will guide you through this valley, if you will just seek His face,
For I surely know that one day, God will take His people to a better place.

He's Watching

Sometimes life is a vicious circle, all we do is sleep, work, and eat,
It seems the rut we're living in, leads only to defeat,
I don't understand how those without answers, can ever learn to cope,
But since I've become a believer, I have found that there is hope,
Now I serve a God who is faithful, one who really cares,
I will lift my arms in praise, high up in the air,
God would not have any perish, and I feel the same way too,
That is why He provided a special plan, to save both me and you,
And life is just too short, for me to waste one single day,
That is why I pray there's more time, to lead many to God's Way,
There is no promise ever, of the next breath that I take,
Yet I am forever grateful, knowing God's always awake.

God Lives Here

The night sky is filled with millions of stars, I wonder how many there could be?
And the moon is just a sliver, not much light for me to see,
The waves rolling in have washed tons of shells, right up on the beach,
Just standing here taking all this in, I feel God is within my reach,
For who else could create this spectacle, now within my view,
I would love to stay here watching it, with nothing else to do,
God, who could deny Your existence, in the midst of all of this?
For Your magnificence is present, this is truly Heavenly bliss,
The serenity of this moment, gives me true peace within,
God gently touches my heart, and let's me know I've been with Him,
Just being here on this beach, is cause for me to have great cheer,
And if you stop and think about it, God really does live here.

Humbly Yours

When you're down on your knees and praying, it is real hard to stumble,
For pride can be one's downfall, it's so much better to be humble,
To seek the will of Him, who is our God and our creator,
For there is no one else, who has ever given us more,
The price of all our sins, crucified His only Son,
I now have my salvation, because of all that He has done,
Now my journey will never be over, even after I pass away,
For I will live eternally, because I'm walking in God's Way,
To pass through those pearly gates, and to walk the streets of gold,
And to praise and worship Jesus, something that never will grow old,
To visit family and friends there, I probably won't know where to start,
But knowing this awaits me, truly does tend blesses my heart.

Just Wonderful

Walking on the beach, the sand feels squeaky clean,
And the water is that special color, kind of bluish-green,
It seems that there are sea gulls, flying everywhere,
And I thought I saw a dolphin, swim by over there,
I believe that God turned up the thermostat, on the sun again,
This is one of the most wonderful places, I have ever been,
And every vacation here, seems to pass so fast,
But I savor every moment, hoping to make it last,
Just to share it with family and friends, and have them all down here,
To soak up some of this paradise, that I have found so dear,
For God surely put on a show, when He made this place,
A little piece of Heaven, shared with us by God's grace.

Sitting Within His Beauty

I am sitting here watching the ocean, I could do this for hours,
It's one of God's most beautiful creations, and it demonstrates His power,
And He is pushing the sun below the horizon, over to my west,
The amazing spectacle of it all, it is one of the best,
My hair is being blown around, by a steady breeze,
Just being in this place, really puts my mind at ease,
And walking on the sand, it is so pure and white,
It reflects a pretty moon, God's wonderful night light,
And what peace the lapping waves bring, as on this beach they're breaking,
Makes me wonder what other miracles, God will soon be making,
I know that whatever He creates, it will be without flaws,
For the one that I am looking at, leaves me standing here in awe.

Love Revealed

We study in God’s Word, to see what it’s revealing,
And in it we find hope, and in it we find healing,
It also directs us in the path, the way that we should live,
And we should not be selfish, we are more blessed when we give,
God’s Word is just so rich, more precious than silver, gold, or pearls,
For it tells us of a man, who really changed our world,
A man born in a stable, who died upon a cross,
And He lived as a servant, never acted like the boss,
This man named Jesus fulfilled a plan, just for you and me,
A way leading to salvation, by His hanging on that tree,
I’ve accepted Him as Savior, and one day we’ll share Heaven above,
Now I stand in awe and praise Him, because He did all this in love.

Within His Love

We enter Your sanctuary Lord, truly a house of prayer,
We kneel down at Your altar, Lord our souls to bare,
And You tell us to love everyone, but that is sometimes hard to do,
But Lord we're going to do it, because of how much we love You,
For in Your love for us Lord, You sent Your only Son to die,
So we will obey Your commandments, and never question why,
We will share salvation's story, so a lost and dying world will know,
And pray that they will be saved, may Your presence in us show,
Lord just fill us with Your power, so we have the strength to persevere,
As we beat the devil down, and show him we have no fear,
For You Lord fill our hearts with joy, and wash away our sorrows,
And that is why I will seek Your will, the moment I wake up tomorrow.

With Heart, Soul, and Mind

Lord You are my protector, Lord You are my shield,
I will serve no other, my will to You I yield,
I will magnify You, oh Lord, and I will exalt Your name,
For You have forgiven me, and for my sins You took the blame,
I will show others the Way, for to win souls is wise,
For I know You see them in their darkness, and You can hear their cries,
May I show them You, and lead them into Your light,
So they too will find Your salvation, and also become Your delight,
I will lay up my treasures in Heaven, where they won’t be stolen or rust,
For you Lord know my heart, and in You I place my trust,
I am thankful for all You’ve done, and anxiously await what You’re going to do,
And with all my heart, and soul, and mind, I will always love You.

By His Mercy and Grace

I would not question God, that Jesus paid a price too steep,
So my sins could be forgiven, like they've been thrown in the ocean deep,
God forgotten and not remembered, except sometimes by me,
But nothing will change the fact, that what Christ did has set me free,
Unworthy as I was, yet Jesus blessed me still,
And saved me from my sins, His salvation is for real,
So how could I not worship Him, and give Him all my praise?
And I will live for Him always, and serve Him all my days,
He is preparing a place for me in Heaven, oh how beautiful it will be,
Friends and loved ones wait there for me, that I will be so glad to see,
I will surely spend eternity, in that better place,
And I know that I am getting there, by God's mercy and His grace.

The Source

Of all I want in life Lord, your are the only source,
I know You are beside me, as I run my life's course,
My own vocabulary, does not contain the word failure,
I know that I am safe from harm, no matter what occurs,
And even if I slip Lord, I know that I won't fall,
For as temptation tries to draw me in, to me You're Lord of all,
So I stay near Your sanctuary, so You can guard my walk,
And so I can listen to you, before any action and before I talk,
May my life shows others I'm a believer, and that I act that way,
For I don't want to be a Sunday Christian, but one that lives it every day,
I don't want to do a thing Lord, unless You let me knows it's right,
Cause daily I want to draw from Your power, and always walk in Your light.

Faith Life

In living a life of faith, I will never have any doubts,
And when it comes to giving God my all, I will always be sold out,
For the greatest price was paid, so that I could be free,
I worship the one who hung on a cross, He did it just for me,
And though salvation is very personal, Jesus offers it to all,
Accepting Him as your Savior, all you do is answer His call,
For if one does not believe, it is an eternal loss,
Forever will be wasted, after Jesus paid the cost,
But I don't worry, because of the choice that I have made,
For when I chose my Jesus, the foundation of my Heavenly mansion was laid,
And the angels cheered my decision, for it surely was the right one,
Now all I have is eternity, to praise and worship God's Son.

From Temporary to Everlasting

I am glad Lord that my old body, is only temporary,
Just like there will be a new Heaven and earth, there will also be a new me,
And though I believe in divine healing, I still have some aches and pain,
But one day in the future I'm sure, Heaven will surely be gained,
Then sitting there with my Jesus, I'll just think about worshipping Him,
There won't even be a thought, about this old body I'm now in,
But as much as I cherish the future, I must live here for today,
Still I can read about it in my Bible, and I can think about it when I pray,
I'm glad for this time that I'm living, here on God's green earth,
And I'm glad I've experienced Jesus, and having a spiritual birth,
Yet when I finish passing through this life, and this old temporary body is done,
I'll trade it for an everlasting one, and dine in the presence of God's Son.

Spiritually Sowing

Lord help us walk in the Spirit, and reject the lust of the flesh,
For Satan paints a pretty picture, but Lord only through You are we blessed,
As the Spirit and flesh are at war, Lord help us to endure,
So we can avoid the devil's lure, so that we can stay pure,
And we can only remain pure Lord, if we live our lives for You,
If we focus just on Your will, if our hearts will remain true,
For if our thoughts are lax for a second, Lord we can slip and stray,
We need to dwell in Your presence, every minute of every day,
Even now so we don't enter into temptation, we will watch and pray,
So we won't be deceived, so we won't mock You, we will walk in Your Way,
Now if the situation calls for us to fast Lord, then we will be fasting,
And we will sow in the Spirit, so we can reap life everlasting.

Influenced

In everything we do in life, especially the words we speak,
We should follow only one path, and only God's will seek,
For we are influenced by what we put inside us, food, medicines, even what we read,
If a black dog and a white dog were within us, which one would we feed?
Satan will use the smallest thing, so he can take total control,
For his ultimate goal as always, is to take possession of our souls,
But if we accept Jesus as our Savior, and put our faith only in Him,
He will keep us safe from the devil's temptations, and He will forgive our sins,
Yes in everything we do in life, we decide which path we take,
Just remember in your choosing, eternity is at stake,
So turn loose of all this world has to offer, and to our Jesus cling,
And in this life your living, make Him Lord over everything.

Vigorous

Praise God if someone ever calls me, a sold-out Jesus freak,
For truly it is His will, that I vigorously seek,
For surely I want all to know, that my salvation is in Him,
And I would also want them to be saved, to find forgiveness for their sins,
For the one true answer is in Jesus, He is the only Way,
Though many believe there are others, that they know the truth is what I pray,
For Satan plans only evil, his only love is to deceive,
But I chose to believe in Jesus, it's His love I want to receive,
Mercy and grace are so much better, than anything this world can give,
Favor and blessings are also added, the reason this life I choose to live,
Every day my faith grows stronger, Christians don't need to be weak,
And if it leads others to Jesus, then I'll gladly be a Jesus freak.

Constantly

I used to think going to church every once in a while, would surely be enough,
And finding the time to read the Bible, well that was kind of tough,
Does God really stop to listen, every time I pray?
And then should I say a prayer, more than once each day?
I guess my life was full of questions, until Jesus answered them,
When I accepted Him as my Savior, and put all my trust in Him,
Now the church is a sanctuary, where I love to go,
And in studying the Bible, there's so much more I want to know,
Praying is now like breathing, and I do it constantly,
And I ever seek God's will, so I'll be what He wants me to be,
As our future holds the promise, of our reward one day in Heaven,
I've found God wants us to live for Him now, all of twenty-four seven.

Free Still

America is a great place to live, if you like being free,
But if you think about it, many have died so this could be,
And many are scattered all over the world, defending our freedom still,
Would it be too much to tell them thanks, let them know just how we feel?
For their sacrifices are greater, than we will ever know,
And they cannot say they're not going, when they are told to go,
They leave behind family, friends, and freedom, just to keep us safe,
They are the barrier between us and evil, in them freedom puts its faith,
For we would not be where we are today, without their lives on the line,
And many have been on more than one tour, gone over time after time,
Be grateful for your freedom, more often than just Independence Day,
And if you think you cannot help them, remember that you can always pray.

Free Forever

For over two hundred years, men and women have fought for America's liberty,
And for over two thousand years, Jesus has fought Satan, so we could be free,
The freedom we now enjoy, is really a God given gift,
For this we should be thankful, and praises to our God uplift,
Because our founding fathers, truly looked to Him,
But we seem to have forgotten this, and continue to wallow in our sins,
American needs to be repenting, and humbly falling down on our knees,
And asking God for forgiveness, for Him we should seek to please,
I will never belittle the price paid, for the freedom I have today,
I will never forget the price paid, so I can walk freely in God's Way,
I'm so glad I live in America, I'm proud of the red, white, and blue,
Yet I'm eternally grateful to God, for the freedom He gives me and you.

More Than Just a Good Book

I know the Bible is an old book, but this book is eternally ageless,
It has stood the test of time, and its words continue to bless,
Lessons to learn, which are beautifully taught, and also lessons to live by,
But the best lesson that I have learned, is the reason Jesus had to die,
For He came to earth of His own free will, to create salvation’s plan,
We need to know why His blood flowed, so that He could save every man,
Yet He still gives us a free choice, eternal death or life to choose,
And if you make the wrong one, you my friend will lose,
You’ll find yourself in a sinner’s hell, because of all your sins,
When you could have been forgiven, if only you had believed in Him,
So just get out that old book, the Bible, for all of its stories are true,
And at the end of it you’ll learn, about Jesus building a Heavenly mansion just for you.

I Remind You

When you feel like life is strangling you, and you're at the end of your rope,
I remind you there is one who gives hope, when you think there is no hope,
When life becomes a struggle, and you think you can't go on,
I remind you there is one who walks with you, that you are not alone,
When you doubt that anyone cares, wonder if there is a God above,
I remind you no matter where you are, God gives you His love,
When a death or illness consumes your life, and everything seems rearranged,
I remind you God is faithful, and He is never going to change,
When the evil one oppresses you, and reminds you of your sin,
I remind you of Jesus hanging on a cross, you need to look at Him.
When the future seems cloudy, and you can't figure out what you need to be,
I remind you that Jesus is waiting for you, preparing your eternity.

Totally Forgiven

I wondered in the wilderness of my life, for oh so many years,
Really just existed day to day, each one filled with my fears,
For I knew a lot about Jesus, but didn’t follow Him,
I just believed if I prayed every night, He would forgive my daily sins,
I won’t say some sins are worse than others, but it seems some hang around,
And if someone has a weakness, then they go right back to being bound,
For the devil is a ruthless foe, with no pity for anyone,
But you know since I trusted Jesus, I know the victory is won,
I know Satan is going to battle, but he will never win,
Because I’m never going back, to where my life had been,
For Jesus is the answer, I trust Him more every day,
Total forgiveness is wonderful, so is walking in God’s Way.
